Ok, my results after 24 hours were loss of 1.2 lbs. nothing to amazing. back on normal diet today, going to see what the two day results are tomorrow am.
Were these 1.2 lbs fat, water, your latest dump, or something else? I like how your trying new stuff and thinking outside the box, but I don’t think the results can be measured effectively. I guess if your diet, training, and overall activities stayed the same for weeks and you did this protocol once or twice a week you could make an assumption.

Nice glad to hear that. you mind sharing what you did?
Can’t really say anything more until we’re done experimenting, but I will say it’s about much more than simply losing fat on any one particular day.
It’s also very easy to screw this up if you don’t understand the overall picture.
Could someone draw us a picture please! I’m not sure if Ethan was being sarcastic or not, but I’m gonna have to go with what he said. especially if you have been dieting without any refeeds or carb loads.
I was sort of being sarcastic, but honestly speaking that’s exactly what I do when my weight loss stalls.
Overfeeds seem to work well when properly timed with the protocol I’ve been using.

It’s interesting you should say that. I’m a fan of the overfeed day followed by a fast day. Mainly as a mental break from dieting. However, I don’t really have the tenacity to crank out an entire fast day. However, an overfeed + “some sort of pulse protocol” seems like it could be a little more bearable. I’m interested to see the new formula that’s in the works.

This idea, perhaps not the pulse part, but the drastic reduction in calories, is also in Arnold’s original Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding. The reasoning was to shock the body, keep the metabolism guessing, something along those lines. A one day “shock” in low cals would not create muscle loss, since it’s only 1 day.
