Extreme Diet Help

I need some help here guys…big time. Chris Shugart or any other staffers please feel free to join in. Bout 9 weeks ago i started a cutting phase…personal problems messed it up and it went to the dogs. so 5 weeks ago i started over, this time JB gave me some help and i was taking in 2200 calories 5’7(175lbs about 9.5%-10% bf at the time) a day and performing 2 20 min cardio sessions on the treadmill. I then brought cals to 2100 and cardio climbed til it reached 2 27 min sessions a day. Then i started working a physical job 9 hrs a day. Cardio became 1 30 min session. All the while i was taking 3 T2 caps 2 MD6 servings Surge and two tablespoons of methoxy 7 a day. I had Insulene in the stack early but couldn’t afford it. my macos looked like 250 pro 60 fat and 150 carbs later dropped to 135 and then when cals hit 2000 about 105 grams. Protein came form chicken, tuna, adv protein, 95% lean beef. Fats from meats, flax oil and occasionally nuts. Carbs strictly from old fashioned oats and surge. I also added taraxatone at this point taken four on…4 off…I finally started to lean out and then i went on vacation during week 4(last week). Eating healthy was very difficult since days were long and hectic.Cals ranged anywhere on the trip from 1600 a day to 2200 i’d say. fats came from nuts and meat. Carbs from oats and veggies(except for flight…ate whole grain cereal pro shakes and beef jerky). carbs got restricted greatly without the surge. The only workouts i did was Pushups everyother day…pavel style…working up to 450 a day . Now when i came home after the flight my physique was in decent shape…but sleeping patterns were off killing my eating…

I took in 210 grams protein 52 grams fat and 85 grams of carbs the past 3n days. Plus i’m off T2 , taraxatone and MD6(which i was on since the first unsuccessesful program) Now I look all smooth and have this little pouch hanging over again(I have loose skin from previous days of larddom that only looks good at low levels of bodyfat) The scale says I actually lost weight though. What do i do now guys… I acn’t keep cals at 1600-1800 for too long , today i tried 2100 w not that great of effect. Sould I wait the full 4 weeks in between MD6 and T2 . I wanna give this thing one last shot and get down near 6 or 6.5 %. How should i be eating these upcoming weeks…should i bump up calories and go with tribex and methoxy? I just got released from my job…should i hit 2 x a day cardio again for 4-6 weeks.I am doin Staley’s convergent phase training 3 x a week w the circuits and if it helps i just turned 19 Your help is more than appreciated and i am truly sorry for the long post. thanks again…Mike

Any one have any ideas advice or help for me.Thanks alot Mike.

sorry to keep bumpin this.but can anyone give me some help…have you been in this situation before…Chris Shugart, John Koenig…anyone? a little more info…i’m eating don’t diet styl with the meal combos.TIA…Mike

Mike, I can’t really say what the problem is. Honestly, you sound stressed out. If you are, then this could easily lead to overtraining even if your training schedule/program is good. (And there’s that physical labor job to think about.) Also, keep in mind that you’re already in the single digit bodyfat levels, right? That means that unless you’re naturally a skinny guy, dropping another 4% to what is an unnatural state for most people is going to be very tough and take longer than if you were going from 15 to 10%. Maybe you’re just being impatient?

I think this is something a lot of people overlook. For example, I can get to 5% bodyfat if I want to. But you know what? I feel like shit warmed over at 5% and while my abs look good, the rest of me looks gaunt. For some guys that’s natural (and these guys may have trouble gaining muscular weight, so it’s a tradeoff really) but for me 5% just isn’t normal. And if I do decide to get to 5%, how long can I stay there? And how much muscle can I gain in that state? Answers: Not long and none.

Another possibility here is that somewhere you’re messing up. I can’t say where right now, but from experience I’ve found that people who stall out are often overlooking something.

Your problem may just be consistency. You started, then you stopped, you started again, then didn’t train much for a week and “guestimated” your diet. Your activity levels have jumped back and forth, meaning your required caloric intake has changed a few times. Plus, your sleeping patterns and eating schedule are out of whack right now, as you said.

This could also just be a water issue. Looking smooth, feeling flat or seeing sudden fluctuations in weight are often linked to inconsistent fluid levels, which can be caused by inconsistent water consumption, as well as sodium intake, heat, carb intake etc. I know when Cy Willson and I got back from Mexico we had both lost weight. The thing was, we didn’t eat all that healthy and tossed back a few cervesas while we were there. So you’d think we should have gained. But we also walked for miles in the heat, our diets were very different for three days (try ordering grilled chicken at McDonald’s in Mexico; man, that’s an experience!), and while we did get in a good training session, our regular schedules were off. But we didn’t panic. We just got right back in the groove when we got back. That’s what you need to do.

Be consistent, be patient, and you’ll see results. Also, I understand your desire to be ripped since it’s summer, but you’re just 19. Man, I’d be focusing on mass gains, maybe shooting to hit 190 without going over 12% bodyfat. Then when you get ready to rip up, all that extra muscle will make it a lot easier. Good luck. You sound very determined so I’m sure you’ll reach your goals in time.

It might not be a good idea to cold turkey the T2 and MD6 the way you’ve done. After taking them so long your metabolic rate takes time to come back. I suggest you first drop the T-2 and continue taking the MD6 for a week at full dosage. Then go another week at 1/2 dosage and then cut the MD6 completely and substitute caffeine. During this time you’ll need to figure out what is a maintenance level of calories for you and eat this amount. Allow your weight and bodyfat to stabilize and once it does for a few weeks you’ll be ready to either cut down some more by introducing the fat burning sups back in or go on a bulking phase.

Chris and kelly…Thanks alot for your help. The replies were very informative. Chris you are right that I am stressed out. I need to calm down…but I’ve been workin my balls off for this and its not really happening.About the bulk up thing…I’m gonna go hardcore into massive eating in Sept and am shooting for 190-200lbs(@10-12 %bf)… for now though. I am gonna cut down to one dose of Md6 for a week…then two more weeks where i’ll eat matinence with cardio done every day… and maybe throw in some tribex. Then I’ll give it one last shot (along with 2 a day cardio …when allowed). If you have any more advice or tips…i’m open to them. Thanks again, guys. Mike.
