the eight keys articles by dave tate are awesome for this purpose.
Tungsten, you are correct, I should read CoachX’s articles first before commenting. I was basing my comments on what someone else said. Let me just say that I did not suggest the full O-lifts, I said or variations. However, from what you said, he does incorporate O-Lifts variations, so there is no arguement here. I am not an expert at training specifically at football, but it doesn’t mean someone can’t ask questions about an experts training techniques. Many of the strength training coaches on this site encourage trainees to think, not just accept. I appreciate your feedback. That’s what makes this site so good.

I understand the points that you have raised but if you go to http://www.elitefts.com and look up the articles and the Q&A it is full of useful info on some of the topics you have raised.
What you have to remember is that if these lifts worked for their players then they would use them. This not to be critical of the OL just that I would not use them for Football or Rugby players.
62 was a Lineman in the NFL for 10yrs!! these guys know exactly what works and what hurts.
