GV First thanks appreciate that…Im in “good” shape.Low resting heart rate, low blood pressure, and good work capacity…Ill get in better shape over the next 10 weeks as I shift from a lifting priority to a sprint and BW circuit priority…and it might help if I didn’t lift so many Buds!!

So Budweiser is your secret.
Good to know - I need to work that into my program.

I knew there was a secret ingredient to your success!

Thanks OP and GV…do not try that at home…its only for professionals !!

So I just did a strongman class…It was at a local crossfit place. It was challenging and fun and brutal…What I didn’t like is that it was 50% crossfit 50% strongman and I was hoping to spend more time practicing with the equipment as opposed to doing burpees and sit-ups… Axle press …no log press booo, Yokes but we only used them to pass stones over, farmers bars…awesome…we were using 95lbs for 40 yards…Id like to do it again but wished it was more lifting and less condo work…

good to try something new

Peace

Strongman sounds both fun and brutal. Cardio sucks.

Ooh! Strongman stuff! Loads of fun.

You know, you can do some strongman with conventional equipment. Take a plate - gals use 25 lb, guys 35 or 45. Press overhead. Keep arms straight, bring down and hold out in front. How long can you hold?

One hand DB clean and press. For reps. If you’re not using something near 100 lbs, you’re a weakling.

Looking good Paul. I’m jealous about the strongman class.

Oh definitely a weakling but that doesnt bother me…as long as I have fun

Thanks Steve, I think you would have been disappointed in the class…it was Crossfits version of strongman and that wasn’t what I was looking for…nothing wrong with it just not for me.

Trap bar supersetted with farmers carries must have been fun. If you like pain. I was thinking of doing a combo of trap bar dead lifts with trap bar farmers. Do a rep of trap bar dead lift then walk ten steps do another rep, etc.
