Joe, using 5/3/1 for my main lifts and just free lancing the assist stuff, sometimes 5x10 stuff sometimes whatever moves me…
Refresh Day

15 min foam/mob work
2 min plank
1 min side bridges
pallof press with OH Ext
2 min push up plank
mountain climbers
15 min bike

OG, as always your training is looking awesome. I need to get back on the 5/3/1 program. Can you believe how nice the weather was last week. Over 80 degrees one day up here. But more seasonal this week which stinks. I’m still gonna get that slosh pipe done one of these days.
There are so many people on the forum now a lot of threads are getting neglected. I’ll try to be better.
Solid, consistant work OG. I’m on week 3 of the 5/3/1 and not really looking forward to the “deload” week. I like the REFRESH day work…need to add something like that myself

Steve…don’t even think about it…I haven’t exactly been filling up the logs either…just so busy with stuff…And yeah the weather was freakin’ awesome. I took my motorcycle out twice! Not many opportunities for March rides! Hockey season must be over…wait hockey season is never over…hope your boys did well and had fun.
Led- the 'REFRESH" day I stole from Dan John…just like the attitude of the name better than Cond/Core day!!
Squatz 3x230, 3x260, 3x280…
My low back was really cranky today so instead of repping out some trap bar deads I decided to be really stupid…
Bottom up squats from pins 5x5x135…
hard, hard, hard, set the pins so my butt was a sliver above a 12 inch box …I can feel it already…getting out of bed tomorrow is probably going to win Americas funniest home video!
GM’s for a stretch 3x10x85
Off to the salt mine,
Peace
OldGoat nice lifts here. How you liking the Trapbar? I actually subbed it for Squats and deadlifts for the next 9 weeks. I am training it 2/week a heavy-volume day 80% plus and a moderate day 80% for doubles to stay in the groove.
I will be following your log closer now.
ps: Trapbar and squats are closer related than Trapbar and Deadlifts so be careful on your programming. For overlap and overtraining purposes.
Some impressive rack pulls earlier. I have used a trap bar is it easier on the back?

Fischer- thanks for sharing the knowledge and for the heads up on the TrapBar…I have been doing a heavy (5/3/1) day coupled with light squats and Light Trap Bar day coupled with Heavy (5/3/1/) squats…and the occasional rack pull session and you are right its pretty much the same so I need to switch things up…Thanks again…
As far as the Trap Bar I really like it. I find it easier to get into a good position and maintain form. Much easier for me to keep my chest up with my hands by my side. Im going to stay with it and hopefully cross over into the 4’s territory…Its been easier on my “lousy” grip as well.
Paul
Bruce- Thanks brother…and yes, for me I do find it easier to get into a good position and stay there with a Trap Bar…I had a bad habit of my hips shooting up and basically turning the deadlift into a nightmare…
Refresh day
5 min bike
10 min incline T-mill
20 min foam/mob/stretch/nap
band pullaparts 3x12
10 T-mill
Off to the salt mine,
