Do you pick up on this shit drunk too?

If so I might just fly half way across the globe someday to grab a beer, or diet coke. You drink the good stuff.
Tonight
Tonight, tonight

at 9% two is probably a smart limit.

beans - you know how there are those authors who are off the hook when ripped? Hunter s Thompson, Dashiel Hammet, etc. I get a bit like that.

earlier today,
got bored,
did this:
30 BB snatches
Suitcase carries, 90 sec
Crucifex (props to the lord & savior) like 2 1/2 min
Low pulley towel rows
Supinated grip sumo pulls 25
Zercher squats (to make front squats seem fun in comparison.) 21: a bit of a whoopsies in the 5th set.

followed by 4x7:00 on the treadmill. (we had big hail & 60ish knot winds today, so it was mostly an indoor day today)

Sunday or Monday, I’ll be back to Mil Pressing & C2 Rowing. Definitely by Monday. I’m sure I’ll feel fine by then…

To me that would support my thoughts of taking the diet more seriously. I also don’t mean dieting down constantly, I mean monitering your intake even when bulking to create the leanest gain possible, but still gaining of course (and yes fat is going to come anyways). It’s your call though, I know you’re a PX fan so I won’t push it :)
Dude, Dante talks about the same shit. So does Dave Tate… The list goes on. (I had a whole paragraph/rant typed out, but I don’t want you to think I’m lashing out at you.)

I mean, not to be a doucher, but I don’t have to count calories to maintain a BF level I’m comfortable with. I just don’t. I never have had to, even when I didn’t lift. Just like I don’t have to balance my checkbook, or write out a budget. I can do that type shit in my head, and I can eat by feel (so far). If that changes, so be it…

And you have to also understand, at my fattest, I wasn’t close to fat. When it comes down to it, I’m 50lbs heavier at the same BF as when I started. I’m not about to change my approach now, ya know?

Now when I’m looking to get below 12-15%, I will probably have to. Fuck I’ll probably just pay Skip to do the thinking for me. (If I can get an opening.)

I did say that manipulating your diet would mean different things to different people, and I know a lot of people aren’t comfortable counting macros. I know Dante and DT don’t count calories but they do have pretty strict planned out diets that they adhere to for the majority of their days (except for DT sometimes lol but he’s not interested in being a bodybuilder) even PX has a very good idea of what he’s eating daily even if he’s not interested in the numbers.

Then again there are guys that track everything year round and do well too, I’ve noticed in my own progress that I did a lot better when I did track my intake (mostly) and was more regimented, and I’m kicking myself not staying with that because I know I’d have a better composition at this weight by now.

But it’s not for everyone.

That’s all I meant. Congratulations on the progress so far.

Damn you Trav… Now I’m gonna dwell on setting up a fucking calorie speadsheet for the next two weeks

And here I am trying not to turn this into work until I’m looking to actually “cut”

I love vagina…
lol I don’t even do that. You want to know what I do?

I have a little notepad with three lines of numbers, one is grams of fat, one is carbs, one is protein. Like this:

50 100 100
50 65 74
90 33 11… and on and on with the macros of what I eat.

I set up my day so I hit my target macros at the time (right now 70f/360p/280c)

By now I’ve memorized the macros of what I eat regularly and so I just jot down the numbers as I eat. If I don’t know something I put it into fitday.com (free site with the nutritional info of tons of different foods). For meat I have a little kitchen scale to weigh it so I can get an idea of what it’s got going on.

That’s it. The hardest part is timing the meals so that I get the most out of them (like most of my carbs for breakfast and Pre/Post WO and keeping the fats away from the carbs). Besides that it’s like clockwork and at the end of the day I know what I’ve done.

A lot of times I’ll have days that are almost exactly the same, which makes it even easier.

I just save my ‘cheat meals’ for when someone wants me to go out to eat.

Otherwise I have none, I just deal with being cranky for a few hours.
x2

i do this, i keep my cheats for when i need them such as birthdays, family occasions, a date etc in the last 8 weeks ive had 1 cheat meal and that was for my sisters birthday, when i feel like a cheat on a normal day i usually drink some water or tea and do something to take my mind off food.

I prefer to have my cheat meals at every meal…it seems more fair that way

^hehe :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve learned my lesson with free meals…don’t eat the whole damn pizza!!
I prefer to keep most carbs out of my diet, especially gluten…so when I do actually eat it, my stomach gets angry in the middle of the night…

and fwiw, beans…I’ve been managing fairly well without counting everything…but I understand there are times when it it’s necessary…

I tried it MiM’s way, I don’t think my rough estimations are working. I either am starving at the end of the day, or feel guilty. I think I need me some numbers.

We had this last night. It’s really good, try it!

when trying to cut weight there is going to be some hunger involved…at least in my twisted thinking!

I read a great quote once, ‘hunger is fat leaving the body.’

I honestly don’t know how much I’m eating calorie wise…I eat when I’m hungry and stop when ‘I’m kinda full but would eat more cause it tasted good,’ level.

My diet is basic and boring…protein, good fats, fruit/veggies…with the occasional freebie…but even those I have to keep strict on…carbs beget carbs for me…the more I eat the more I want…

When progress slows, I’ll up the protein, lower the fat slightly, and ditch the fruit…I’m weighing in next Friday!

P- how about a rough estimate? Depending on how much you weigh, eat that amount of protein daily…50grams good fats and 50grams carbs daily…do that for two weeks and see what happens!

Hai guys! Happy weekend, even though I have to go to the mall today. Oh my gawd!!

Oh I forgot…MD’s distant cousins were visiting again last night!
