by the way I’m kidding about I’m happy Rashad won strictly cause of that lol…I just think everyone discredits Rashad too much and I don’t know why everyone seems to dislike him so much.

Don’t matter that much. Rashad is 5’11, far from being “short”.
If this was the HW division, with monsters like carwin and lesnar, yeah, he’d be overpowered, but in LHW, being a few inches shorter than the 6’4 guys probably works to his advantage as he gets in and out of the pocket easier.
I doubt Rashad is even 5’11…maybe 5’9…and weighs around 220…but it’s not that big of a deal as you say.
BUT I do have a feeling that wrestling/takedowns against bigger LHW guys wears him down. But that’s only my conclusion after his fights with Tito…and with Thiago Silva…who are “bigger” LHWs.
I think he would have gassed a bit trying to take Rampage down if it had been 5 rounds…BUT Rampage would have gassed even more.
No, seriously, he’s 5’11 lol. If he was 5’9 it might be more of a problem, but at 5’11 I don’t think the height and/or size gap is that pronounced that it would effect him.
I was talking purely from a striking perspective, but yeah I agree, the biggest gap is taking down guys who bigger than him. He’s got pretty good wrestling, but a few guys in the division could man handle him all day long.

Evans looked like a one trick pony the whole fight and I agree with the yellow card for excessive clinch, Rampage appeared to be playing it safe as Amiright said, he had great potential to finish the fight but he just stopped punching
I guess you’re right…if that one trick was kicking Rampage’s ass…
not regarding this UFC but i really hope Marquardt send Toquinho to the hospital with a fractured jaw, he deserves for all the knees and careers he fucked up here at Brazil and to that guy he last fought.
Russow VS Fedor NOW!!
i just got done wathcing ESPN2’s MMA Live (is this a normal show, or just post fight?), and saw the highlights from Sanchez and Hathaway…Sanchez appeared to completely forget how to set up takedowns. he shot right into that knee…and i’m amazed he was able to fight for 3 rounds after that. amazing…
i think Hathwaya is gonna be a real force pretty soon…i can’t belive he’s only 22.
Rampage got beat like a bitch, that trash talking, howling, arrogant prick got beat, hopefully he will shut the hell up now. Then he shows hes a sore loser during the post fight interview, “were all winners, theres no losers that ever get in the octagon”, whatever mofo, you lost and saturday night, YOU were a loser.

Evans talks more shit then rampage and hes the bigger douche… I can’t tell if you’re trolling or if you’re serious.

Nah, it was dead even. Evans generally had the sharper lines though, cockier execution too. Page was trying to pull off the big-bad-wolf angle.

HAHAHAHAH WOW, I guess your not a Rampage fan.
Sometimes as with boxing what works is not always that great to watch. Evans had a plan and it worked but something deep in the pit of my gut wants to see a Great Finish.
In the end its a win. If you can keep a stronger man under control and prevent him from hurting you until the end its a win.
If You knock a man out on his azz its a win.
If you are hitting a man so much he can not react and the Ref stops it, its a win.
All winning options, Its just that I would rather see the last two.
that’s why they should implement the Pride rules back, yellow card and judging based on agression and meaning to finish the fight.
So I noticed during the card they showed Randy Couture’s new movie The Expendables, but didn’t mention anything about the A-Team with Rampage. Is it because Rampage was fighting that night (whereas Couture wasn’t) and didn’t want to show any favoritism?

A- Team probably didn’t buy any advertising that’s all.

Brilz got robbed, he won that fight (although I was pulling for Small Nog). Brilz should start getting some better opponents.

No robbing here.
Blame rests with the scoring system (speaking mathematically).
Noggy won fair and square.
Somebody need to rape those boxing judges, they are a cancer in our sport, i watched the fight again yesterday and Brilz definitely should have walked away with the decision.
I had Brilz winning the first two. The second was definitely his. The first was closer, but still his. Round 3 was competitive but it goes to Nog.

You really think that Evans should have been given a yellow card in that fight? He was way more aggressive than Rampage.
