I belive that homosexuality is evolutionary in origin. My take on it it that non reproductive adults served as “population” control. They were not adding to the number of people in a given tribe…and they were able to protect children to preserve the tribe as food was foraged.
Now that the need for “extra parents” is no longer present…we have homosexuals in a very odd and misunderstood area in society.

They do adopt, though. In that sense, that need is still there. They are still productive members of society who are not adding to the population burden. Too bad so many have such a problem with it.
