Fuck me sideways. Kid finally put it all together.
Deserves lots of applause! Can’t believe he can do that at only 22 years old.
man needs to do some kroc rows!
haha kidding aside, this guy is such a fucking beast. Very appropriate thread title.
On a side note, does anyone else notice that when squatting around 800 or so pounds it seems like the sq/dl ratio just drops to pretty much 1:1 and often 1+:1?
Seems like deads are easy initially but have a gharder time really getting the dl into the new ‘realm’ like 900+ or w/e
just an observation im curious about
Again…fucking beast!

He’s also wearing wraps. With his squatting style he probably gets a decent amount out of them too. So he still pulls more than he squats.
Also have to factor in that deads are last and squats are first. People rarely set DL PRs in a full meet.
EDIT: Actually that’s bullshit, they do set DL PRs, but only because they don’t peak their DL in the gym. They peak it for the meet. My point is they could pull more if they didn’t already squat and bench first.
How long has he been lifting??
The Lilliebridge family is strong. Look at his brother and father. These guys are all beasts.

9 years or so. Started when he was 13. That is also when I started, LOL. His total is nearly 50% higher than mine.
One of my favourite totals ever. Beastly.
Knee wraps and a monolift? He needs to suck it up.
Wonder what this kids ceiling is? He’s a Bull!
I think one of the biggest differences between this meet and his more recent ones is bodyweight. He was damn close to 275 at weigh-ins, which is usually not the case for him. I wonder what he weighed the day of.
i hope we get to see him go head to head with Stan Efferding before Stan retires.
that total at 22 yo… thats fucking crazy

He’s only a few lbs off Stan’s total now. He should surpass it easily if he stays healthy.
From what I understand, he and Stan are buds.
I can’t imagine where this guy’s gonna be at in 10 years. It’s incredible.
Good kid, great family. The meets in DBQ are a lot of fun. Carpenter runs a good meet. The atmosphere is very conducive to good lifting.

Not only this, but most of the guys squatting in the 800 pound range have a bit more, shall we say, “squat muscle” than littler guys. And I’m talking about the gut here. It is extremely difficult to get into a proper deadlift position and execute it with a larger gut, common to heavier squatters.

yeah, and the two biggest, best deadlifters in the world are living proof of that theory.

Bolton and Benni have longer-than-usual arms for guys their size.
