Ephedrine/Synephrine

Is there any reason that I cannot take these two together? Side effects or anything?

Synephrine, mostly listed as Bitter Orange Extract in supplements, acts as a stimulant similarly to ephedrine. Ephedrine significantly raises metabolic rate and shifts the respiratory exchange ratio more towards fat burning compared to synephrine.

Regarding adrenergic receptors, ephedrine acts mainly as a beta-agonist while synephrine acts mainly as an alpha-agonist.

Taking this into consideration, ephedrine has an overall better thermogenic capability. Taking both at the same time might help slightly (compared to just one or the other)considering the adrenrgic receptor activity of each. However, synephrine is thought to increase metabolic rate in primarily brown adipose tissue, which as adult humans we don’t have much of at all.

Both ephedrine and synephrine significantly raise blood pressure, so that might be a problem if you take high doses of both at the same time. If it was my decision I’d stick to only ephedrine, but if you take both together I’d like to know how it goes.

I’ve been taking an ECA stack for about 4 mos., cycling 7 days on and 4 off. But now the effects are not as noticable. I’ve changed up my routine a couple times but to no avail. So w/ that said would you recommend upping my dosage and if so how much is still safe.

Currently I’m at 25mg E, 200mg C, and 500mg A w/32.5mg of caff. in the aspirin itself. I take it three times a day.

Perhaps if you’ve been taking those doses of thermogenics for that long you should consider taking a break. If you need them that badly perhaps your diet isn’t as dialed in as it should be. If you’re using them for energy for workouts (which I doubt with the 3x per day usage) try Powerdrive.

My personal opinion is that you’re becoming dependent on the stack and that you need some time off. I was in the same boat a couple of years ago and weaned myself off. I have since learned how to get lean when I want with little or no help from thermogenics.
