Rehab stuff:

Ice bath. 8lbs of ice. 1 hour.

Electro therapy. My mom found her old machine with the little nodes. Love that thing. Charge lasts pretty much all day.

Heat therapy. Lower back only, for bedtime.

If I do heat/cold therapy, I cannot do it back to back with foam rolling. Causes way too much discomfort. Feels better paired with stretching.

Came from a casual walk around the neighborhood. 30 mins top. Then started nursing myself.

I think I’m at the stage where I can start programming deloads in a more structured way, since I’m all banged up and need them a lot more often than when I started. I’ll save all my therapy stuff for the deloads that way I can keep track better of what I’ve been doing, and if I’m responding accordingly to the therapy.

From what I recall she (Sia) wanted to be more of a songwriter than a performer/singer. But life goes how it will. For example, she wrote Titanium and sent a sample of her singing it out to some people. David Guetta took those samples and made the track. I understand she wasn’t happy about that. The song “Cheap Thrills” she wrote with Rihanna in mind but Rihanna wasn’t interested so she performed it. I’m glad because I think she, as you’ve said, adds something other artists wouldn’t have. :slightly_smiling_face:

To go in the complete opposite direction, I really don’t find David Guetta that talented whatsoever.

I know he’s more of a pop/club/electro type of guy, but I have heard old school and today’s electro/club type music and there’s some serious talent out there underground, that would put some of the current names to shame.

The only song, and I do mean ONLY song I like by David Guetta is “Where them girls at”, and I mostly like it for that breakdown where he loops Nicki Minaj’s voice like 10 times in a row.

Personally I like Electro, but I find artists that combine electro with drum and bass, sound a heck of a lot better, but that’s just me.

Anytime dude.

@BOTSLAYER

Occasionally tells me he’s going to steal a few electronic songs I post from time to time lol.

I switch back and forth from pop/trap to really heavy drum and bass/dubstep. I do throw in a bunch of other genres from rock to rap to old school songs, and alternative stuff and even a bit of Kpop and other stuff too. I’m just a EDM junkie deep down though lol

Yeah, Guetta isn’t that good, just the right kind of “pop-y” for the run he had a few years ago. :man_shrugging:

Felt very very slow and crappy while performing movements. Doesn’t help that Aunt Flo has arrived either. I could’ve stood to eat a bit more before heading out, and sip something during training but I didn’t.

Part of me was thinking I should’ve splurged during Christmas week just to aid in recovery and have enough energy for my return, but I did the complete opposite and was extremely strict with what I ate. But next week will be better.
