Elbow Pain while Benching

Hey everyone. I have had an issue with my shoulder\arm since October. I noticed the pain after OHP workout. This is what I have done up till now;

I took about a month Off trying to feel better and see if the pain stopped. Went to a chiropractor which I thought was helping at first but than after a second or third visit I noticed the pain came back as intense as it was when it happened. At this point I scheduled a visit with my primary care. My primary care stated I need to do PT. I went to the PT and they said 1-2 visits should be all I need. I went to the one visit and learned some exercises which were helping some. Fast forward to about 6 weeks ago and the pain was still there. I went to another primary care for a second opinion. They set me up for a nerve testing. About 2 weeks again I went back to my primary care as I was still in pain and something wasn’t right. They sent me for an x-ray and referred me to the ortho. I am still waiting on the ortho appointment. I stopped lifting for a bit and I have felt pretty good here and there.

Fast forward to today. I went and lifted today nothing major just a bench session. I noticed afterward that my elbow\ arm joints were sore. I noticed that my arm\shoulder pain is back as well. I will take time off till I see the doctor but was wondering what the joint pain came from? Is it bad form or could this be something else that I am experiencing that could help the doctors figure out what is causing all the issues that seem to come from lifting?

Are you doing a lot of tricep extensions
after bench?

Are you using wrist straps when you bench?

Not normally. I follow 5\3\1 and have done some triceps work. 3-5 sets of 10-20 reps push downs on a cable machine or an iso machine depending on the day and how I feel

No I don’t use anything. I have considered it in the past but think its foolish when I look into it and see most people recommend straps, wraps, belts, etc. After hitting some big numbers. I know my bench isn’t perfect and my weight isn’t super high, 130’s, so I have felt that wraps would be a bit extreme

If you’re rehabbing a shoulder/arm, a bench session is absolutely something major.

First: where is the pain? Front, side, rear delts? Is it where the shoulder connects to the bicep? What motions cause pain in particular? Does it always hurt, does it only hurt during, does it only hurt after?

Do you break at the elbows during benching, i.e bring the bar down to your chest or the top of your rib cage?

There’s just so much information we don’t have.

The pain has never happened before during bench only during or after OHP. The elbow pain is new and it appears to be around the joint of the elbow. Its not major just enough to notice some aches and pain. The shoulder pain is way different. It feels like my back shoulder\ joint is sore, nerve style pain going down the arm. When benching the only pain that was noticed was after the fact and it was around the elbow joint. Next day it was gone.

When I bench I aim to lower the bar to about where my nipples sit.
