EFS Pro Short Bands vs. Old Ones

Has anyone used the newer short bands from Elite FTS in their training yet? If so, how do they compare to the traditional older ones in your opinion? I’ve been using the longer ones for a while now, and was about to order some more because a couple of our bands are getting stretched out pretty bad. I noticed the short bands were considerably cheaper (much less rubber) and I think it’s great that you can use them on speed deads without a custom platform since I work out in a campus rec gym. I’ll likely be making this purchase but was just curious if anyone else had used them and what they thought.

Thanks guys!

The short ones are great for Dl, bench, rack pulls, crazybell, etc as long as you arent using the really heavy tensioned ones. I bought minis and monster minis and they give a good amount of tension when doubled on a power rack. I liked it. I think the heavier ones youll need a platform to do it right.

Haven’t used them. We have a Jump Stretch platform, some EFS collegiate racks and ER Combo Racks (where we do all benching and squatting), and band squat/deadlift work is done in the collegiate racks and bench work on the ER’s, the way we’ve rigged up the bands the shorter ones would most likely not work with the current configuration.

Plainly said, I don’t think it would be sensible to buy new bands when our older ones work just fine. If you don’t have any bands and are in the market for some then I think the short bands would be a great choice if you have the means to use them effectively (ie. proper platforms/racks).

Picked up a set of the yellows. Used them for deads, was crazy. Best part is set up is much easier. Def worth getting a set to have in the bag. In the video, Tate just puts the bands under his feet for conventional pulling. No need for a platform.

they are convenient and easy to use… but you guys are forgetting the best part about them… the red and black ones fly like hell and are amazingly accurate when you fling them at people across the gym…

haha good idea.

Ive been told that they are good, but when doubled for benching, you need to have about a 450 bench, they are super strong for that, but thats all I know about them.

I got the heavy’s for pulling… only because I have an 800 pull. The short bands seem like they can take a beating and I plan on beating them senseless.

I enjoy them b/c they are easy to setup, and can be used for things like prehab/rehab stuff instead of doubling a mini or something of that nature. Also makes setup on cambered squat bar easy as hell which adds more variety. I love em.
