Preacher bench curls - 4 sets of 10
DB hammer curls - 4 sets of 10 - 40’s

Bench!

275 x 3 x 8 = 90% of 310lbs.

I got the full 8 sets of 3 reps apiece, had a little trouble on the very last rep of the very last set - so that was a good lifting day.

My goal now is to get to 1RM of 315 unassisted by the first of March. Ive got 3 more bench days to make that happen.
Next week, I’ll push it to 285 x 3 x 8 and see where I’m at. this would put me at 90% of 315 and push towards my goal, and give me three weeks to make it happen.

I followed up with DB FB partial reps 80’s x 20 x 5 sets
then Tri’s - Apex presses, decline skull crushers.

Dude 315 should be a piece of cake for you man! I don’t think that i could do 8 sets of 3 with 275 for bench, and i can definitely hit over 315 for bench.

Again, epic fail…but I figgered it out.

I performed the 3x8x275 no problem

stepped up to 3x8x285 and failed to make all the sets.

wanna know why?

math. Apparently I ain’t too good at it.

thought I stepped up to 285, when in actuality it was 295.

put it in that context, and it aint a fail after all.

I’ve laid off of legs for going on 3 weeks now, and they’re feeling better. I still don’t know the reason why I was having weakness and cramping.

But I’m thinking that it may be creatine. I’ve been on it for about 5-6 months, I rarely cycle it, thinking it may be marketing bullshit making everyone think that it’s a steroid, ya’know?
Creatine has never given me stomach problems, or cramping in the past but for now, I’m laying off that shit to see if that may be the problem.
