Hope you had a good weekend. Do you do the beef up there in a slow cooker? Iām trying to get my COW cooking skills on. You always have some yummy shredded beef in here.
And that jeep looks like a lot of fun. I would be climbing to get in there Iām sure.
Hey, I just started using DBs for incline pressing and I like it. About training back and then BP, Iāve noticed that if I do pullups one day, my bench is weak the next. Still trying to find a way to schedule them so I can do both twice a week.
Uh-uh, no Nikkigirl. Cupcake. Say it with me: Cup-cake.
I hope the switch in your routine helps.
Hey old man, question how has training supplemented your training and how much do you make.

Hi PuffyGirl,
I do cook it in the slowcooker, I use london broil cause itās the leanest cut I can find, and it is usually the cheapest. then put it in the crock pot in the morning with whatever I think will go best with it, some type of soup. I do the same with chicken breasts, but I usually make them spicy. good stuff~
on your training split, I like doing a 2 day split, 2 times a week also. sometimes it feels like you arenāt pushing one muscle group enough, but at the end of an 8 week program, there is noticeable results. I was going to do that program this time, but wanted to push my bench up into the 300ās and thought a 4 day would work best. who knows?
you would def need a ladder to get in the Jeepā¦I think I might have got carried away on lifting it. Oh wellā¦

wassup Chrissy?
I think your question was how has my training supplemented my income, and how much do I make. Right?
this is a good question. Iāll give you the long version of my story, so hang in there.
I was born into a blue collar family. Pop went into the Army during the Korean war times, instead of going to jail, so having four kids who finished high school was a big deal to him. I wasnāt much of a student, and graduated with a 2.5 GPAā¦yep, that is a c+ average.
Pop worked at General Motors after getting out of the army, and after a shutdown in '76, got into construction. he moved his way up to superintendent, which is a big deal for a guy who never finished HS. I had 2 older brothers who followed him to the industry, I hung back for as long as I could the finally succumbed and became a Millwright.
My older brother bought one of those concrete and plastic weight sets from money that he made on a paper route, and from the first time I laid on that bench, and brought the bar to my chest, felt the muscles strain at the weight as I pushed it upā¦I was hooked. I was 13 yo.
I had friends who got hooked on coke, meth, heroin, pot, even bass fishing, but I was immune to all of those cause I had already found my addiction.
Nowā¦I was taller, healthier and had less acne than my brothersā¦I credit it to my training, diet and vitamin intake while I was younger. I was also more successful in my profession, and i credit that to my physique. and my attitude, but that is another story.
I was respected enough to be asked to become a Union Representative, while serving as a Rep, I got involved in politics, served on the city planning commission for 10 years and ran for city council (unsuccessfully, which is yet another story). Thats a big deal for a c+ student, and blue collar worker.
again, I credit this to the fact that I trained, had an athletic physique and I honestly believe that people are attracted to this type of person. I am by no means good looking, and that also makes me less threatening. people like to have me around.
to what do I owe my training to my success? All of it. If you had the opportunity to meet my brothers (who donāt train) and even the people in my industry, there is a marked difference in my level of training, intelligence and emotional stability. Again, I credit all this to the fact that I train regularly.
today Iām the Service Manager for a 90 mil per year company. And make over $130K per year.
