I’ve recently acquired an Eclipse+ TENS unit made by Medtronic and am curious to know whether any of you have had any experience with this device? It is my understanding that the unit’s primary function is for pain control but has anyone used this unit with success as an EMS type instrument (i.e. muscle recovery or possible hypertrophy as outlined in Charles Staley’s article)? Any feedback (whether for pain management or EMS use) would be greatly appreciated as I was given this piece of equipment and really don’t know too much about what it can do (practically speaking of course as I have read the brochures and pamphlets discussing it’s purported benefits for pain). Also for those of you familiar with the unit I am aware of the “burst” function and it seems to me quite similar to the reaction produced by muscle stimulation devices. Thanks.
