i dont know if i could handle this much hunger and cravings.

Yeah everyones different but it definitely gets especially hard a few weeks out. If i wasnt so low carb for so long it wouldnt be so bad and not everyone has to do it this way so dont get discouraged. Im just so anxious to start adding mass again and eating…very irritable today to say the least, but it will all be worth it.

fdb. feel like im losing size…

Of course you feel like you’re losing size, the mental game will mess you up good if you let it. It’s all a brain game from here on big man.

As far as feeling full on nothing, my wife and I used to both go to town on entire jars of pickles. Not much there but fiber, salt and water. My thing used to be just trying to sleep. The sooner you’re unconscious, the sooner you get to eat again.

Haha exactly! I try to get in bed asap so i can wake up do cardio and eat. Prep is definitely becoming a lot more of a mental thing these coming weeks, thats for damn sure. Thanks for the encouragement stu.

Stu, do you think pickles would be fine even at 3 weeks out? Did you find when you ate a lot of them you retained more water?

Ill lay in bed just googling desserts and any foods i can think of All the time. Probably not good but i cant help it lol

that is so hilarious and so sad at the same time!

Could you tell us any changes you have done the last few weeks?(as much as Shelby allows you to) For example your diet, how much cardio/what kind of cardio you are doing/when you are doing your cardio, what kind of supplements you have added etc.

Sure thing, ok, changes in the last few weeks…

Cardio- ive been on 1hr steady state basic treadmill cardio at 3mph. fasted upon rising.

As of 2 weeks ago we’ve added in an extra 20 min of seperate cardio of hiit style on the stairmaster every other day. But as of last week it has been bumped up to every day. This cardio can be done at any time, just need to get it done.

Diet- diet has been the one thing that has probably changed the least. The only changes were when i was around 10 or so weeks out we dropped all carbs besides the ones found in pb and almonds.

As of two weeks ago we have added in 1cup of white rice per meal on sundays only. Hopefully we will slowly be adding in more carbs as we get closer. Who knows. He said im maintaining size very well so the low carbs is not really an issue with me besides getting intense cravings and feeling like shit, but the addition of white rice has really helped but i swear it just makes me hungrier.

Actual diet-

  1. 4egg whites and 5 whole large omega 3 eggs

  2. 7oz cooked chicken breast, 2oz almonds

  3. 1.5tbsp peanutbutter and 2 scoops isopure zero carb isolate

  4. 7oz cooked top round steak, spiniach, 1tbsp olive oil, apple cider vinegar for taste.

  5. 1.5tbsp of peanutbutter and 2 scoops isopure zero carb isolate shake

  6. 5 whole omega 3 eggs

Supplements- otc supplements havent changed at all yet.

Fish oil 4000mg daily. 1000mg total epa and dha.

1000mg green tea 2x daily.

1.6g beta alanine 3x per day

5g creatine every day in morning

Animal pak for multi vitamin

TUDCA and NAC for liver support

Evening primrose oil 2600mg before bed.

Anything else just ask

God speed. If you’re anything like me you will feel like a fat ass and a failure after the meal, feel as though you definitely ate too much and blew your entire diet and prep… Then wake up leaner than ever in 3 days and wonder why you didn’t eat more

First up was this AMAZING strawberry banana french toast, i wish i would have got 2 orders of these and less pancakes, these were so damn good.

Next i got 6 large multigrain pancakes. I used sugar free syrup on everything. So delicious.

Last thing at the diner was this grande nacho bbq burger which was amazing. Had to get some broccoli to make it healthy though

Then after that i was feeling pretty damn full but still had a little more food to eat. So me and my gf headed to walmart because it was late and got this icecream called arctic zero, which isnt actually ice cream but is still pretty good. Definitely bodybuilder friendly food.

So i got the arctic zero stuff, 1 pint, 2 chocolate chip cookies and a bag of turkey jerkey to help hit my protein macros.

I was only able to finish about half the pint of frozen dessert. i was fucking stuffed. My stomach really wasnt ready for all that food. I couldnt fall asleep for like 4hrs after that. I was sweating like i had a 104 fever or something lol. It hurt to move
But now its the morning and im hungry again and id do it all over if i could lol. Next check in is in 3 days. We are 2 weeks 6 days out today
Hopefully this will have a positive effect. Cant wait to get in the gym today!

This is basically the macros for the night. i didnt include the sugar free syrup i used.

Haha yeah pretty much. I definitely dont miss the bloated feeling. I literally could not have eaten any more without throwing up. I came so close to losing it laying in bed but it was hopefully well worth it lol.

lol, I love how you had your dessert first.

this is a great thread, thanks for keeping it up in so much detail

Thanks for starting it!

Literally everything i had that night was dessert, but yeah that french toast blew my mind.

How did your bodyweight respond to the cheat meal?

Well i weighed myself the day after the carb up, but this was after training and cardio so maybe i lost a lot of water but i was roughly only 1lb heavier. Im not sure if thats a good thing or im just insanely depleted and its gonna take a lot more to fill me out.

While training though i felt like i was way leaner, more lines everywhere especially chest, is this due to water retention pushing the muscles closer to the surface?

The past two days ive felt like ive had a fever off and on, no sick feeling just really really hot, getting hot flashes here and there and sweating a lot, definitely feel like it boosted my metabolism but i honestly feel like its going to take quite a bit more but we’ll see. Maybe i say that because im so fuckin hungry but who knows lol.

Next update is tuesday with shelby and ill post some pics. Today marks 2 weeks and 6 days out.
