My girlfriend wanted to do a show. Showed her this thread she no longer wants to do one. You basically saved my life not having to “argue” (me agreeing that I’m wrong) with her when she gets angry. She is hispanic so naturally she is bat shit crazy sometimes. Scary little woman. So thank you.
FYI i still want her to do it but she doesn’t
What?! I hope this thread isnt discouraging lol! Im so glad i did it and yeah while prep may have sucked at times it was totally worth it. Plus not everyones the same so its not as if she would have to diet as hard as me. Honestly i dont think no carb is even necessary in most cases.
If she decides to compete she will be glad she did it. Trust me

Well, except for maybe the fertilise yourself and conjugate with lions guy. That was pretty sweet.
You going to keep this shit updated during your offseason?
I was thinking about it but wasnt sure if anyone was interested. On a side note, today is my bday, do you guys cheat day for your bday? Please say yes lol

if by “cheat” you mean binge on fast food, rum and drugs, then yes.

I was interested from the start so i’m in. I couldn’t help but notice you were at the Europa games. How was the expo overall. I’m not too far from Orlando myself.

Lol. When my girl first expressed an interest in competing I tried damn hard to talk her out of it. Not that I thought she couldn’t do it, just that a lot of people don’t realize how difficult it can be, especially when your plate is already pretty full of “real life” commitments. Some of us just hide what we’re going through better than others

This prep was hard. But what else is also hard is keeping your diet in check post show and not having a baf rebound. I feel like i could eat constantly. Im eating around 4k cals on training days right now and it feels like nothing. I had quite a bit of sweets yesterday for my bday and ive decided i really need to stop before i become a blowfish because dieting hard is no fun.

So true dude, I’m certainly not a seasoned competitor, but as someone who has competed and likes to shred pretty severely once in a while I do believe in the “There is no ‘off season’” mentality. AKA, always be mindful of the fact that you have to cut up eventually… Best not to ever get “fat”

Yep definitely, im learning all this now, i used to basically eat whatever i wanted a lot of the time, but now im not doing that and even off season feels like a not so serious prep but im definitely way more mindful of what im eating.
Having said that, im about 214lbs today, still pretty lean, im having trouble flipping the switch mentally from dieting to offseason but itll happen

Don’t rush it brother. Too many guys jump right into the “I can eat again!” approach and just kill their physique. If you can stay smart, and somewhat objective (somewhat! -lol), you’ll be much happier down the line when it’s time to don the speedo again.

Yeah definitely. Well im 217 morning weight already. Shelby says im still plenty hard and gaining nicely. Definitely not as hard or lean as i was but there are a few factors that come into play with that. Just cruising right now and giving my body a break but still going hard in the gym of course.
Ive definitely become wayyyy more concious of the foods im eating so i think this will be a good offseason and will stay leaner but having said that im not afraid to put on a bit of fat. Im so fuckin hungry all the time its crazy.
Hey sorry for the lack of updating but honestly nothing too exciting going on.
Due to finances i had to temporarily drop shelby, which is not a big deal because i think i should be able to carry myself through a good offseason and hopefully i can rely on you guys help also.
For anyone thats followed this thread, what would you say my weak bodyparts are and need extra attention right now? I have a good idea but just was hoping to hear everyones opinions. Thanks!
No worries man, I think most of us get the same thing after the contest… The gaining phase is just not as exciting as the week-to-week changes of the cutting. Nature of the beast.
As I mentioned above, the hammies are the only thing that “sticks out” as being “behind” … But even then they are fine, just not FREAKISH, otherwise your build is great.

Thanks Lonnie and yeah thats very true, im almost kinda looking forward to another prep already lol, my body definitely needs a break from dieting though, well, i just got some bloodwork done today so we’ll see for sure.
As far as weaker bodyparts i would love to bring up my arms. Anyone have any advice like high frequency training,fst7 stuff, ill try anything, these fuckers are stubborn

Everything’s stubborn until you find what works for you. People used to compliment my calves, but it took years until I figured out what gave me results. As much as I wish I had solved the problem sooner, I’d be lying if I made it sound like I was a brilliant trainer right out of the gate -lol.
Perspective big man! You did great your first time out, and now you regroup, plan accordingly, and keep moving forward.

Thanks stu. Would you mind sharing what has worked for calves as far as exercises and frequency?
Thought id throw these before and after photos up. Im glad i took pics during prep because from seeing myself every day i felt at times i wasnt making progress.
