The whole depletion and reload process can mind F you pretty good. Huge swings in the way your body looks.
Just listen to what Shelby says, trust that he has put tons of people through it and knows what he is doing.

Feathered is good -lol, now just carb up as you’re told to, and don’t worry about being stringy.

Yeah, its all mind games. You look great man, no one will write “stringy” in their score card.
Looking forward to the stage pics, congrats big man.
1st PLACE! You did it! Congrats man!
Well damn…
Did you just go pro or do you have to win another show for that to happen?

Haha oh man thatd be nice wouldnt it?! No way it was just novice division, i would be invisible next to the pros but all in due time, gotta start somewhere!
Congratulations!

Thanks man! I wanna post pics but im just waiting for the professionally taken ones to be posted somewhere, i hope they will be, i mean, they were definitely taking pics while we were up there.
This weekend has been nothing short of awesome. Not just cause i won but just the whole expo experience. This was the first show i had even been to.
I placed first in the amatuer division. I believe it was the heavy weights. They do the weight classes a little differently than the open class. My official weigh in weight was 192.4 i believe. Cut off was 198. I also competed in the open class of light heavies. We went on stage for that first so i was really nervous. it was a big class, i believe 15 or so competitors, i was in the last call out but centered the whole time so i didnt fair too well in the open but thats just more motivation to absolutely kill it this offseason and kill the open class next year, or any other show i decide to do, but now i really want to put on some mass especially since i am not allowed to enter any more amatuer classes, so i think its necessary. Ill definitely be competing again in the future, i really loved the whole experience and ive learned a lot. Thank you everyone who posted and or followed my progress, you guys helped me do this too and i appreciate it.
Shelby Starnes has been an awesome coach, i would highly recommend anyone whos trying to bring their best to the stage to get with him. Ill be staying with shelby for the offseason and im really excited to see what we can do!!!
Hell yeah brother! I knew you’d do well, but I’m alays hesitent to say stuff like that because you never know who else is showing up.
Don’t knock the Amateur class. All it means is that the other competitors haven’t won any open classes themselves. That certainly doesn’t mean that they’re not impressive bodybuilders in their own rights.
Doing well really lights a fire under your ass huh? -lol Now you’ve got the “I wonder how much better I could get?” questions buzzing around in your head ![]()
