Don’t forget the 30g of saturated fat, the 200mg’s of cholesterol and nearly 6,000mg’s of sodium. Keep eating that for breakfast and lunch every day and watch your heart explode!
Gregg - Did you fail basic math?

Per label: 30mg cholesterol x 4 servings per pizza = 120mg cholesterol
Per label: 690mg sodium x 4 servings per pizza = ~2.8g sodium
Per label: 9g saturated fat x 4 s.p.p = 36g (you almost got that right)

OMG SATURATED FAT-- QUICK someone tell the editors here that some authors are pushing Coconut Oil like it’s crack! All that cholesterol is gonna mess up my testosterone…

Here’s some math that will make your head explode. Yesterday I ate (in addition to other things) 10 eggs + 1.5 lb of steak + homemade roasted chicken wings

1 egg = 200 mg cholesterol (You do the math)
1 oz steak = 20 mg cholesterol (you do the math)
1 cup chicken = 105mg cholesterol- I had about 4 cups estimate (you do the math)

I won’t even touch the ‘fat’ content. What is this, 1991?

How’s my health?

You know, I see that you’re an author for a magazine, but your last post about sodium and cholesterol sounds like a bunch of, well, bullshit Men’s Health soundbites strung together. What next-- an article on bosu squats?

EDIT:

I guess this has to be said again– nobody here is advocating eating frozen pizza every single day. If that’s the choice someone makes for whatever situation they’re in, then they’d better be hitting the gym everyday with every last ounce of intensity they’ve got.

JF asked me to post the ingredients to “red baron” pizza. I did. Truth is, in the big scheme, it ain’t so so bad. Let’s call that the worst one. I showed that you can still purchase and consume some pretty good frozen pizza (without OMG sat fat).

Here’s more math:

Common Sense + Moderation + Adjust food content/amount for goals and situation >>>>> Food paranoia
good post almost brought a tear to my eye lol

and yes sticky this please

This thread is dumb

Hey guys, can I eat butter sticks to meat my caloric intake?

Butter sticks = pizza?

Yes and pizza = steak + potato

Therefor butter sticks = steak + potato

Therefor Metabolic Drive + Olive Oil = Butter sticks

You know, its like saying eating Hot Dogs would be a valid option lol.

You people talk about protein quality and stuff when it comes to supplements right?

Same logic should apply to real food

Pizza = Hot Dog = Steak + Potato

One of the worst analogies Ive ever seen in my life
zraw wrote:

I see what you did there  .

BTW- Red Baron is the only frozen pizza, it tastes amazing, and the fire baked crust is WOW good.

And, I’ll be honest. when all those ingredients are listed on the label, it sure looks a lot worse than what was copied/pasted here… Guess, I’m just gonna eat them everyday all day now. You know, cause I’m bulking lol… (btw, I’ve used that line many times before, so I’m not condemning anyone here), just an observation on how we try to rationalize things

your severely missing the point

Simply:

Anyone who eats hot dogs is an idiot

Steak is a protein and fat source, pizza is a protein, carb , fiber and fat source the two should never be compared.

Beef is god when it comes to amino acid profile and quality of protein and steak is the god of beefs.

You dont see any of us comparing steak to pizza, were just saying that pizza is not as bad as people think it is

i like your attempt at math though, its wrong and has no relevance to what X, Steely or myself has said

Not really worth responding to.

I know many a football lineman who got fucking huge by eating like many here would pass out listening to.

I do not know many who sat around and ate sticks of butter.

Your analogy makes no sense.

Someone may gain more fat by being loose and free with their diet, but if they are training, they should also be adding that muscle right along with it.

You guys do realize you can diet fat off, right?

I mean, people do it all of the time in books.

Do you know realistically how harmful those ingredients actually are in the amounts of them that are put into such foods?

The answer would surprise you

ABSOLUTLEY NOT!!!

At least not on their own. You have to dip the butter sticks in chocolate, then bread them, than deep fry it in bacon grease that has been heating for hours. Only then is it ok.

you are missing the point, not I.

I do understand the reasonning behind “bla bla bla pizza isnt that bad look at the macros, bla bla bla need more calories, bla bla bla”

Based on the arguments made, hot dogs would be just as good as pizza.

3 hot dogs with those big ugly sausages = ~80g carbs, 36g proteins, 30g fat

Double that and you get pretty much the same macros as a pizza. See?

The OP, if I can read correctly, asked about eating frozen pizza EVERYDAY.

There are about 20000 better options, and btw, a pizza macros itself sucks.

Calorie repartition would be 42% from carbs, 38% from fat and 20% from protein. How great is that

Sorry football linemen dont really have the kind of shape im aspiring too.

You could eat like a sumo wrestler too you know, I heard these guys carry more muscle mass than anyone.

btw, my analogy wasnt a real comparison, it was taking shit eating to the extreme.

Pizza should be there to mmmm… fill holes in your diet when you are mmmm… stuck with no other options… shouldnt be a staple imo. Especially not a freakin frozen pizza

Question…did anyone else here tell him to eat pizza everyday?
zraw wrote:

Wow. That is interesting considering many bodybuilders look more like that in the off season.
They actually do, but just because I don’t care if all abs are showing it doesn’t mean I am trying to become obese.

I know, you have to jump to that extreme to have a point at all. It will be ok.

The only staples should be attention to calories and macronutrients as needed depending on the specific goal.

I really think some of you believe there is zero benefit in building that massive base first.

I am simply telling you I am glad I went ahead and put the weight on before trying to worry about leanness as the main priority.

don’t get me wrong, they’re still junk ingredients, just seemed more awful from my memory of seeing a laundry list of ingredients.

Dude, there’s corn starch in Finibars. What in the pizza is hurting you specifically?

I mean, ANYTHING in excess can fuck you up, so what in one pizza is hurting you?

Really? Just to humor you.

I get the pepperoni kind (Im’ sure there’s nitrites/nitrates), hey I eat it, so I don’t avoid that stuff like the plague, but I don’t fool myself into thinking they’re not bad for me.

Partially hydrogenated oils, no amount is good/safe.

process flours, again come on. Not good for health, what about tooth health from someone that had quite a few cavities.

Of course some of this stuff may not be convincing to you, since you said a long time ago “show me what is beneficial in veggies for health, and don’t tell me phytochemicals” or something along those lines.

No skin off my back, I’ll keeping eating those delicious Red Baron pizzas weekly on game day, but limiting it to that and know I’m ok with that. It’s when it’s more than once per week which has happened I start to feel guilty about the health consequences.

nothing, OP was talking about everday, ONE everyday surely is not going to benefit your health
