Pizza Is/Isn't a Junk Food

Stop fucking up the “Dave Tate Project I” thread.

Argue here…

Aw, Fuck.
You mean I’ve been using a clean food for my cheat meals? Dammit, I can’t do anything right…

Whenever I hear the word Pizza I feel fucking hungry, pack it in please.

I guess, it all depends on how it’s made.Is the crust made from a pure wheat mixture? It is loaded with lots of veggies? Crammed with “anabolic” cheese? Layers of chicked? steak? 98%lean grass fed beef?..just to name a few. Then I would say yes.

If its pizza hut, little C’s, Domino, Papa John, or any other mainstream pizza-pusher, then probally not.

But it sure does help with bulkin. Tastes good. Fills the stomach. $5 hot’n’ready is pretty cheat on the wallet and makes a hearty meal.Same thing with about 5 of those 99cent double cheesburgers.

I guess its how you look at it. Is it home made with healthy stuff. How often do you eat it. Does your belly look like a keg.

People think in extremes or not at all.

if i wwas dieting to get sub 8% bf, i might cut pizza out. but right now i am trying to gain weight and calorie dense foods are a big help

tell me, if i eat 3000 cals of clean food, how is it that an additional 1000-1500 calories from pizza which is bread +cheese+ tomato sauce going to be detrimental., it isnt like it is corn syrup!!it is real honest to goodness food

i dont get why people have to be insane.

Are we talking “healthy” or just “clean”? I guess any good, protein and calorie dense food would be good for bulking fellas. Sure, you can get huge as hell going to McDonalds and Pizza Hut, just look at the aforementioned Dave Tate. Can you get LEAN eating it daily? Very doubtful.[/quote]

“Healthy” is relative anyway. If people on this board have some arbitrary concept of “health” as their goal, why are they bodybuilding? The two don’t exactly go hand in hand. You can be a very “healthy” 140lbs guy with no muscle mass. This is a bodybuilding forum, not some life extension “eat once a day or less” forum.

People think???

What part of the world do you live in?

Haven’t seen much of that around here…

My mum makes pizza from scratch. Its considerablly healthier then any pizza your going to buy. It might be a tad dryer but i eat boat loads of the stuff and im not getting fat. So i give it two thumbs up

Really. If its whole foods, and i count ground flour a whole food, cause it is, then its “healthy”.

besides, no one puts enough chillies on pizza’s these days.

If your daily spent calories are more than the food you eat you will lose fat. Thats what people dont understand for some reason or another. Calorie deficit, losing weight, calorie surplus gaining weight. Thats it! There is nothing else too it. People try to over complicate things way too much. Now that being said, your workout routine ultimately dictates WHAT you will lose or gain.

I’ve made pizza dough from scratch, with 100% whole wheat flour. It tastes much better, and I don’t crash later from hypoglycemia - as the case with the commercial starch crusts.

I also use grass-fed cheese and meats, for healthier fats.

Reason I haven’t made pizza in a month or so now, is that I’m leaning out, and have cut carbs. Pizza can be healthy. It all depends on preparation and then perhaps on physique goals.

I’m of the opinion that if you need the calories and you’ve already eaten plenty of vegetables and other nutritious foods, then eat whatever the hell you want for extra calories, as long as you don’t find it working counter to your goals.

People need to relax a little bit – especially all those skinny bitches!

I keep waiting for all of these extremely muscular people with 7% body fat to show up on this site to justify the paranoia.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN - Chic ‘N’ Stu Lyrics

This ballgame’s in the refrigerator,
The door is closed,
The lights are out,
And the butter’s getting hard.

What a splendid pie,
Pizza-pizza pie,
Every minute, every second,
Buy, buy, buy, buy, buy,
What a splendid pie,
Pizza-pizza pie,
Every minute, every second,
Buy, buy, buy, buy, buy.

Pepperoni and green peppers
Mushrooms, olive, chives,
