In the current issue the bull about having to eat 6 times a day to be able to properly digest your calories was once again spewed. Lyle McD clued me in a while back on how little it REALLY matters when you eat and my dieting got a whole hell of a lot easier and more efficient. It is calories in vs calories out gentlemen. Sometimes the temptation is to make things so much more difficult than they are. Leptin will be the next big thing used to confuse people. But there is so much out there already that can be used to bamboozle people that none of the BBmags will be going out of business anytime soon =-)
That’s interesting stuff. With the Warrior Diet gaining some popularity now, I wouldn’t at all be surprised if the trend shifted back towards eating 3 meals a day instead of 6. Lyle may very well be right in saying it’s just a matter of calories in vs. calories out. I’m sure Ori would argue that the calories are more efficiently utilized in his diet and less efficiently when eating 6 times a day. I’d like to hear more of what Lyle said to you about it. Any other tidbits you’d like to share?
For me, it is way easier to eat 5-7 medium meals daily then to eat 2-3 large meals. If I don’t eat every two hours I am worse than my wife when she’s PMSing. I make it easy since I have 4 packets of Grow! daily and once they’re Grow! bars then I’ll have a few of those too. I’ve had a lot more succes eating more meals too so I’ll stick to it.
I’ve never really noticed a difference in rate of gains eating 4 vs 6 meals a day. I don’t like the need to sit down and eat a meal only to find that it will be soon time to prepare/eat my next meal. To me, it becomes quite monotonous to be eating all day long. Works for me.
