How did the air squats feel? You made no comment, so I assume they were painless.
They were great.
Narrowed stance ,pushed back to a box about 3 inches above parallel.
Going to work on figuring out how to get my squat muscles back , without stressing the artificial hip.
Thank you for asking.
Definitely a work in progress.
More like a work almost complete.
I started distance walking this weekend. Additional weight loss attempt.

I was able to get this done after work , before having to go back in at night. I was definitely a little apprehensive about “ taking call “ at our hospital since my hip surgery. I needed to be in for about 4 hours working last night after I was called. Fortunately everything was fine. I truly believe trying to stay in reasonable condition as we age makes a huge difference. Strength, cardiovascular, body weight, some mobility work.
Ready for the barbell , just a few more weeks.
Exactly.

I’m getting bored of the light DBs . It’s fine to mix them in, it’s another for it to be the main theme. After Labor Day, I’ll be able to mix it up.
Back extensions felt great. That will be total hip friendly, and in the mix.
A different type of week for me , night time work commitments, some family obligations. I have a little time each day, so I’m mostly using that time to walk. One day of lifting this week , yesterday.
Pull-ups 5x5

Planks and bird dogs.
Jeez, shift work.
Actually meetings to interview potential new surgeons to our practice…
It’s a really interesting process at times.
Some people look great on paper, and seem good live, others it can be painful and the night can’t end soon enough.
It’s not always easy to tell who is going to be a good match. In the end I just trust my gut feeling, usually based on a first impression.
We are still doing some in person interviewing with social distancing.
Strange times.
5mile walk with hills.
DB floor press 5x20

Seems like the hip replacement went well
Hip replacement for clee was a breeze. He just neglects posting that he has an “S” on his chest and regularly leaps from tall buildings.
I’m very appreciative of my surgeon, the technology , and all those who pioneered the procedure.
It’s life changing and I’m glad it was available to me.
Probably an overstatement.
I’m just trying to enjoy my good fortune.
