oh i’ve heard a lot of good things about bobby flay’s place in vegas… i’m gonna have to check it out next time i’m in vegas. which hopefully is SOON! lol
good job making it back to the gym. hardcore!
and don’t worry bout focusing on work. as long as you can get in a workout or two a week you should keep feeling good. =+)
hey there girls…thanks for the visit!
yeah, i’m still lagging in the Efriend department here in PW. work is better but still busy.
i’m keeping pretty consistent to at least 3 moderately heavy circuit style-ish stuff wrkouts a week. been keeping the eats in serious check. dropping that extra bit i had gained from excessive work schedule but i’ll need that bit of wiggle room since i’m leaving next monday for Germany for 10 days. i do not plan on working out as i will be walking my ass off. if the opportunity presents itself, i will hit some weights but i’m not planning anything.
it’s a work trip, will also be in Switzerland to visit another site. i’m lucky enough to be able to take the misses (almost free ticket using miles + cash) as our 10 year anniversary is coming up. so there will only be 3 actual days of work. friday and the weekend will be free. haven’t made solid plans to visit Munich but it’s the 200th anniversary of Oktoberfest and she really wants to head that way.
i’m pretty damn excited except i’m VERY sad to leave my gatos…
Made it back late Wednesday night. Had a fantastic time, maybe I can get my shit together and post a couple pics. I hit the gym yesterday, nothing too crazy, just wanted to ease back in. Did chest, shoulders, tri’s and quite a few clean n press followed by squats. Also did 2 sets of rack DL to remind my muscles they still exist.
Not that lugging over-packed suitcases on and off the trains isn’t using muskels…
I’m “off” work but still working from home since I have the handy loaner lap top that was given to me for the trip. Thank gawd I’m not one of those that has one all the time…
Turns out this is a busy month or so for play time. Going to that “Cabernet and Carnivores” event in the wine caves tomorrow might. Perhaps all the wine will erase the deliciousness of the Dunkels I was drinking in Germany. A very dark beer but was so light goin down… Mmmm!
I better find some time to make my rounds in PW. Lots to catch up on around here I see.
hi ladies, thanks for the visit. i will post some pics soon. shit, i might even post some workouts. ha ha…
i have been training, just not making the time to post. good news is that the tailbone pain is only minimal. still there, but definitely getting better and should be good to go for snowboard season. yeeeeeeeeeeeaaah, i can’t wait.
oh, today’s training:
WG pull down: 2x 12 @75
working on the the DL from floor now since tailbone pain is only mild. 10 x 115, 10,8,8,8,8,8 x 135. short rest of 1 min or so between sets…this is my cardio these days…
seated leg curl 2 x 10 @ 85
narrow grip pull down: 2 x 8 @90
bent over row, 40’s one set of 10 for each arm
some bicep crap standing BB and cable stuff
stiff legged DL, 3 x 10 @70
lying ham curl, 2 x 10 @60
warm up prior to workout and after includes hanging clean and press with oly bar, followed by squats, couple sets of 10 each. hypers, single leg DL, walking lunges. did 10 min intense stair master.
so i made it about 1/2 way through the logs, need more time to read, catch up and post. hope to do so tomorrow evening.
Glad the tailbone is feeling better, I think the DLs will only help.
I know people didn’t like that I was still DLing when my back was acting up but now it feels stronger than ever.
Those >1 minute rests between sets are killer, just getting back into that myself.
Bobbi- i tried snowboarding for the first time last season, tough learning curve! i fell lotsa times smack on my ass. i’m inclined to think there is/was a small fracture if it’s still hurting since march.
hi Cal! thanks nikki. deja, thanks lady!
worked just under 15 hours yesterday, only 11 today. this is my excuse for a weak sauce gym session tonight. no bother posting details. hit chest, tris and a bit of shoulders. only managed 3 sets of 3 with the 35’s on DB press. (after working sets @ 25 and 30) i should work on this to get back to a respectable press. watched the x-marine trainer have a guy walk on steepest incline on treadmill while he had a belt around his waist and he pulled him back…good stuff.
so here are a few pictures from the trip. Marburg is a beautiful town north of Frankfurt. a medieval town with Gothic/Renaissance churches and buildings. there is a castle at the top of the hill in the center of town and is home to the oldest Protestant university in the world.
a very cool place, cobble stone streets, narrow walk ways and stairs forever. walking all day was a pleasure to take in the sights and stop in the shops or cafes. can i just repeat the obvious? the beer in Germany is absolutely beyond delicious.
