hi attydeb. work isn’t really that killer for me on it’s own, i can hang ok. it’s the “work/life balance” that is pissing me off.
Claire, same thing. i’m do not fear hard work and i actually thrive on the pressure. but this pressure cooker is reaching a point. when i was 19, i worked 2 jobs for 3 summers in a row, about 65 hours a week. not a single day off in the summer. i was young and that was fine.
now, the issue is more of a blatant imbalance of resources at work which has forced our group to pull these ridiculous hours while others are “8-5ers” taking their lunches and breaks like clock work. we are lucky to stuff a bite to eat at our desk while catching up on email or dealing with the other fires.
so, to answer the food question, i have not been able to have my mid am and mid pm mini meals. ok, not training, less calories that is probably good. however, i have had to have a beer or a glass or 2 of wine in the evening during the week which i normally don’t do.
good thing i had started meatbolic surge and got a little bit of a cut on before this (maschy, that is completely out the window for now except for some of the circuit trainings i will try to do)
hi kimba! i never for a second lose sight of the blessing of my job in this economy.
i knew at the beginning of the year this would be a very tough year for me and our site. it won’t slow down for a while, probably not until october, it’s been this way since march.
all i can do is make sure i do what makes me happy on the one or if i’m lucky, 2 days off i get. like today. going to wine country to have lunch and pick up a little vino.
but first i’m gonna go get a quick bike ride on. nice thing about a long break??? i’m SORE all over from those 2 lightweight days. YAY!!!
