Every asshole who ever chanted ‘Drill baby drill’ should have to report to the Gulf coast today for cleanup duty. - Bill Maher
BP is paying for this to be fixed. Accidents happen and Bill Maher is a retard. did I miss anything?
Bill Maher would have quit the space program after the space shuttle blew up, just using his logic and applying it to something else.

What if it turns out the rig was sabotaged to prevent future drilling?
And bill Maher is both a duesh and an idiot.

You’re right. It was probably the same people that faked the moon landing.
And great, BP is paying for it. It’s still the worst environmental disaster in decades, who gives a fuck who’s paying for it.
Obama Defends New Drilling Despite Suspending Plans Until Answers on Accident
At least Obama isn’t dumb enough to give up on offshore drilling because of an accident. Without a doubt BP/all oil companies needs to take more caution when they drill from now on.
I don’t think this was a terrorist attack.

How you going to drive your car? Going to use a little yes we can and hope and change to power the engine?
Accidents happen, the companies will learn from it and the problem will be avoided.
By the end of next month this spill will be cleaned up and by the end of june everyone will have forgoten about it.
Accidents happen…The volcano in Iceland is a bigger environmental disaster. Shit happens. DRILL LIKE A MOTHER FUCKER…
This oil skid is safer than buying oil from those asshats in the ME.
see the oil spill thread for my theory of sabotage

I’m just saying that the timing is interesting to say the least. Plus it’s a little too reactionary to make sweeping policy changes for an isolated incident for which causes aren’t yet known. But by all means, be a knee jerk reactionary.
Plus that’s a pretty high damn horse to sit on while using oil to run your car and run your house.
He should be saying, “everyone who uses oil needs to report for cleanup” all the damn oil comes from somewhere accidents happen.
If it had been a tanker spill transporting oil to us from over seas, would you be crying for more off shore drilling and screaming about the dangers of importing oil?
As long as we are using oil, spills are a risk regardless of if its local oil or imported. So don’t you dare try and lecture some of us on the poor environment when your computer is running on oil.

haha no, I would be saying the same thing I’ve been saying all along- move away from oil and towards working on alternative forms of energy.
But I guess there will always be those that like drilling, though I’m not sure why. Imagine if this had happened at ANWR… I’m sure that oil would have worth the destruction, though, cause Sarah Palin says so…

Ah, so you have no guilt because you claim we shouldn’t use oil, while you are using it…
When was the last time you put some effort toward finding new sources of energy?

You are absolutely right, no one anywhere is working on alternative energies. Sometimes you act like a little twerp irish.

He votes for liberals, thats all the work he is required to do. Thats all any good liberal is required to do. After all the government will take care of everything else for them.

I know they are. But instead of the cries from the right of “Drill baby drill,” which is just fuckin asinine, they should be supporting that new kind of industry, and vocally.
And a little twerp? Jesus douche, come up with something better than that or shut the fuck up.

I bet he hasn’t even upgraded his incandescant light bulbs to CFL or even better LED. He probably leaves lights on in rooms he isn’t in and I KNOW he leaves his computer on all day long. Irish, do you unplug your cell phone charger when you aren’t charging your phone? Come on man.

There is no new technology and hence no industry to support. If there was a feasible alternative, I would vocally support that. wind mills, and solar cells don’t meet that criteria.
