Double Kettlebell Clean and Press

I’m going to stop walking so much, eat more, and do the Kettlebell Swings just for Deadlift Strength.

Time to take Deadlift seriously again.

How many warmup sets did you do? That’s a nice lift

Thanks!
These were the warmup sets:
60 kg x 3
100 kg x 3
140 kg x 1
180 kg x 1
Then 220 kg x 1 working set
I did one more single with 180 kg afterwards.

I’m back to doing Double Kettlebell Clean and Press, with sometimes Deadlift

The reason is I noticed after I only did clean and press for a while, my swings had gotten stronger. So it’s more full body with more carry over for deadlifts as well I feel like.

Dan John famously says “the clean is a swing”, so this checks out.

Creatine is great for my gains, 75 kg now.

But I’m afraid I might have to stop it due to some digestion issues from creatine.

I have been training by doing double kettlebell clean and press, then captains of crush right after greasing the groove style.

This is interesting, prisoners just eat carbs and they get jacked

How much creatine are you taking? 5-10 grams per day is all you need and you’ll be saturated in 30 days. Micronized helps with the gut as well as taking it with food.

Eh, some do. The meme of the “jacked inmate” is just that: a meme. A LOT of inmates are fat, because they’re fed a diet high in refined carbs with the bare minimum amount of protein.

From AI

Jamie Lewis discusses his experience living/training in jail (rather than prison) and how he basically needed to engage in gradeschool level “lunch swapping” to be able to get enough protein. Shopping at the commissary helps too, if you have an income stream.

That said, carbs ARE protein sparing, so eating a bunch of them when you aren’t getting enough protein in can help. But, funny enough: so are ketones.

Thanks that makes sense

As for “jacked” inmates, I agree with @T3hPwnisher that it’s mostly a meme or a cliche for a movie character or scene. Another thing: prisoners that are jacked are young men primed for strength gains with a structured routine for lifting, eating, and resting. I think those that are jacked do it in spite of the food, not because of it.

Yeah I will keep a higher protein diet

I watched the video. Just a guess here, I don’t actually know but Outside and Inside you have the lazy and the dedicated.

The guys who are dedicated to training get the results and they utilize the food they have access too, which include tuna packs in prison along with carbs.

Many guys probably just “bang out” a few sets of each exercise and that’s it, bare minimum, which isn’t good enough.

I’m bulking hard with cheap microwave rice and peanut sauce chicken meals

Strength gains are good so far

This was the first set of the day as well, normally my first set goes difficult. I think later today I can get 4 or 5 reps.
