Dosage Split For 1ml?

Long time lurker and new to shots, but did the gel for years and quit.My numbers took a dive of course, and my Doc gave me the 1ml/200mg single dose for once a week to start me off, but I’ve been lurking long enough to know that’s not optimal. Can I, or should I, split that into two .5ml twice a week, or is that little bottle not made for more than one use? Next time I’m getting the multi-dose vial.

If it’s an ampule it’s meant for a single dose.
Just draw it into two syringes when you open it and inject one Monday and one Thursday.

Ok, just wasn’t sure if that was recommended. I did get some Easy Touch 25g to draw and 27g-1” to inject. Found this from Med-Vet for about the same as everyone else, and they have a $9.99 flat rate for shipping, so not too bad. If anyone has any reputable recommendations for supplies, I’ll listen. Again, new to the pins and trying to get past the irrational anxiety of it all. Thanks!

It’s not ideal but a lot of people do it.
Ty to get multi use vials going forward.

Just confirming, is it a vial or ampule? I used to get 1ml vials too. You should draw with the larger needle and pin with the smaller. Where are you injecting?

It’s the little 1ml/200mg, and I plan on using a 27g-1” in the glutes. This is just a starter kit of 6, but I’ll ask for a larger bottle in a few weeks.

Amp looks like little glass, maybe beer, bottle, with a neck you break off. So that’s what you are talking about, I assume. I defer to others on that, because from folks I know, infections seem rare and random.

It’s interesting, where I was from 25 years ago, once a week was very normal even for high doses (orals of course different or the very short acting test). For me, it was the higher dosages where twice a week was 100 percent better.

Last, I like 23 gauge for glutes. Even the 25 is too small. But hey, if it works, great.

It’s this little vial, but I don’t want to do all of it at once to start off with. I have both 25g or 27g, so I’ll see which one I can deal with.

That’s a multi use vial. Just draw out what you need and the rest stays in there u til you need it.

Exactly. Thats why I was asking because USA doesn’t do ampules. I was getting these single 1ML bottles too when I went to an Endo through insurance. Thats the new way. Only compounding still do multidose.

Ok,question about the preloading method. Can I load two barrels with the original “draw” needle,or do I need to remove the original draw, and insert a fresh one for the second barrel? Also, is Monday/Thursday the optimum double dose regimen days? Sounds logical. Thanks!

your fine to use the same needle to draw but it was determined that you have a multi use vial so no need.

It is helpful to always use accurate terminology.

“The main difference between a vial and an ampule is their closure mechanism and reusability

. A vial has a resealable rubber stopper and can be used for multiple doses, while an ampule is a single-use glass container that must be broken open to access its contents.”

I previously posted a pic of the vial to rule out any confusion.

Right, but if I want two 100mg shots from this then I’ll need to load two barrels and I wasn’t sure if I had to switch the draw needle or if it was safe to open the “closed”system or not.

Because the testosterone is in a vial (by definition a multi-use vessel) it can be drawn when it is to be injected. The second 100mg can then be drawn just before it is to be injected.

The vial has a rubber stopper. Wipe with alcohol. Draw your 1ml shot and the rest will remain sealed.
For your second shot do the same thing. Then move on to the next vial.

Ok, so I have to start over for each dose. I thought I could load up 2 with one needle and be done. Sorry, if this seems elementary. I’m not a fan going into this, but I do want to get it right.

You can do that but leaving it in the sealed sterile vial until needed is a better option.

Ok, sounds good. I’ve heard there’s no need to aspirate with this method, but some still do. What’s your take?
