I was going to call this My Random Log but instead I chose my fav lifting song of the moment by Boston.
oooooo A woman after my own heart. Good luck with your training.
Thanks for stopping by! Even though I heart kitties, I will make an exception. (^:
You’ll probably regret it, but thanks.
No way!! Maybe you will have to take the place of my T-Nation BFF since he hasn’t even stopped by my thread yet to wish me luck. Yes, I’m talking to you, tiger boy.
Hell, I deserve to be replaced for not checking your log out a long time ago. I suck and i’m sorry…
Wait, you were talking about me, right?
Even if you weren’t… GOOD LUCK!!(Eventhough you don’t need it)
I will only forgive you if you start telling people I shit rainbows.
xoxo
Ok!!
TOOTLES SHITS RAINBOWS AND HER FARTS SMELL LIKE SKITTLES.
Too much?
I guess I shouldn’t mention the Leprechaun, huh?
How was your workout this morning, Junkbutt?
Thursday is not a workout day because I am usually up late the night before. And I think I have some tendonitis in my shoulder and bicep. Last night I slept on my arm wrong and have been in pain all day. Even though I haven’t been to the doctor yet, I was reading up on it and I need to lay off the bench press and overhead exercises for awhile, tear. I’m hoping that tomorrow things will be better and I was just being paranoid. My mind runs a million different ways when something like this happens.
There is definitely other things I can focus on during this time. If I ever want to try and compete in powerlifting, I will definitely have to lose some weight. I hate worrying about the scale, but to build up my strength and then lose weight seems backwards. If anyone has any advice to offer, feel free.
I think for lots of people, when your ramp up your training- your body composition will follow
even when your not trying.

I feel this way too but with me nothing ever happens the the way it is supposed to. Regardless, tomorrow is squat day and I will go from there. This morning I got up early and did 45 min of cardio. Blah.
Just read the first page of your thread here, and two things jump out to me-
A) BOX SQUAT! Mirror will go bye bye, form will rock…
B) Our own Jen Heath, who’s got da rockin bod with da sickabz!!, believes, and follows, the thought that 4 meals a day, for upping your metabolism, building muscle and losing fat, is as effective as 6-8. If you’re still on 3 meals a day, try adding one more in. The one will make a large difference.

Good luck cutie,

Hey, thanks for stopping by! I heart your cat avatar!! Thanks for the tips, I might eat less at lunch and have a shake in the late afternoon. The squats are coming along, right now I am working on depth.
Notes: 30 min of cardio after. I know this looks lighter then usual, but I didn’t want to destroy my hips because I am going into work late on Tuesday and was squatting again. I’m not sure what I will be doing tomorrow at the gym, it depends on how my shoulder area is.

I also agree with Mikekubo on the 4th “meal”.
How IS your energy holding up for your workouts?
The only time my energy sucks is when I go to the gym right after work. And it doesn’t matter what time I eat or if I had a snack because I’ve played around with it. I usually feel better around 6pm and get a second wind but when I go to the gym then, it really messes with my sleep at night. I am definitely a morning person when it comes to workouts.

Gotcha.
I’m really glad that you decided to tidy up your life of things that weren’t helping your piece of mind and started hitting the gym hard again. Making those decisions and following through aren’t easy, so I give you a lot of credit.

I’m proud of you, Cara:)
Thanks! You better be nice to me or I’ll kick your ass…I know how to ruin a moment.
Going to the gym is the easy part because that’s where I want to be. It’s the other parts of life that sometimes drag you down. (^:
Notes: 30 min of precor after. A few twitches in my shoulder area but it was manageable. Tomorrow I have a massage so I will definitely be hitting her up for advice. I’m not sure if my tennis ball love is making things better or worse.

You’re welcome to try, but i’ll just mess up your hair and I know how you hate that… You’re such a girl.

How long are your workouts?
Mostly I’ve been doing weights for an hour but the last one was only 35-40 min and I felt like a chump. I will have to get used to it until my shoulder is back to 100%.
Unrelated: my massage was awesome, I feel like a new person. Hopefully I get a ton of sleep tonight and be as good as new.

That’s fine, as long as you stick with the basics and keep the intensity high.
Massages are great and good to get at least once a month. Was it a Swedish massage?

Deep tissue? She basically kicks my ass and I love it. She did some cupping yesterday so my back looks like a coffee table that people don’t use coasters on.

OH, deep tissue’s even better! Especially, if you like a little pain:)
