Final results. 6 weeks off work. I can put weight on it but need support. And I have a lot of pain meds and anti coagulant for 15 days.
I feel not so bad considering
A bit less then 24 hrs post op. Pain is too bad. I did take some morphine for the night, but really I think that the bandage is the cause of the discomfort.
Fragmin injection are not my cup of tea. The pharmacist (fat jerk) said that it is harder for lean person to do.
I also got a bit chunky, weighing in at 152lb! at 5ā7" and a bit.
I can put quiet a bit of weight on it, minimal swelling and good ROM.
I am already bored.
I may go to the gym and do some upper body stuff and slow bike for motion.
48 hrs post op. Stiff, a bit sore, nothing too traumatic. Tylenol help a bit. I mostly feel the cut, all 6" of it. The stitch job is bad. I would ask my vet to fix it if I had to pay for it. That is what you get for free health care.
I may try to visit the gym tonight for a slow bike session.

Day 10 post op
2 big victories today
I went outside in the -20oC and my leg did not freeze or got painful from the cold.
I did walk a few steps with help or any pain but a slight limp.
Looks like your post-op recovery is going well. Congrats! I know itās hard but stay patient and let your body fully heal. Only push hard when you know itāll be advantageous for healing. I speak from experience - my lower right leg and foot were crushed by a 600-pound boulder. I had two reconstructions; my tibia was broken and deforming for six YEARS; it finally (thank God!) healed, and I developed a modicum of patience along the way
And I was SO SICK of upper body machines by the time I was healed. Haha
Love the title āprison logā!
Day 12 post op
The physio was very happy with the result. He was most impress by the fact that my foot is not turned in any more.
Now cleared to walk a bit without help, even staires but going down is hard with holding the railing.
