Donnerschweer: Lifting, MTBing and rehabing

First snow “storm” of the season. Roads are bad and every one forgot how to drive. Like we never had snow before here in Quebec.

Gym will resume wednesday morning. I may do a few sets in the basement tomorrow depending how long it will be to clear the drive way.

Winter has arrived. Clients are wild and dumb.
Way too tired to drag my ass to the gym this week. Last night, I hit the bed at 8:30. So I slept a solid 10 hours not bad for someone who normaly get 7 or 8

Work is stupid crazy and it is not the black friday sale. Seem the lower the temperature, the lower the clients IQ get.

Hope resume gym next week. The cold is really hurting my leg.

Booo on the snow and cold, I hope your joints and pins don’t feel this way all winter, I think it will be a long one!

Made it, my leg is still very sore.

Cardio between those sets

OHP 10x5lb, 3x10x40lb/Lateral shoulder raises 4x10x7.5lb db

External shoulder rotation 3x8x40lb/Internal shoulder rotation 3x6x40lb

I had a strange allergic reaction. Swollen mouth, lip, ears and sore throat. I had my normal lunch with an extra kiwi. Not the first time, that I eat kiwi.

Pre op stuff including the ECG
Poor tech got a bit freaked out. So I got, are you dizzy, sleepy, taking meds to slow your heart.
Me, no, an I just used the stairs to come up here all 4 floors and had a large coffee for breakfast.
So, I had to ask what was my HR.
She is like it is very low for a 40 years old person, it is 44 bpm.
And I am like that is my normal, there should be a note in my file.

Plank 3x45sec, 1x30sec/Knee raises with leg extension 4x10

dead, my legs are dead. The plate is in winter mood, so it is stiff and sore. No knee pain yet. I really hope that once the hard ware is out it will be better.

I have not been able to go for real walk with my dog. We play ball but it is not like going out on adventures.

Day 3, cycle 6

Pull up 4x5/Straight arm pull down 2x10x90, 2x10x80lb/Hammer grip pull down 2x20x60lb, 2x20x65lb

Bent over row 4x8x65lb/Wide grip neutral seated row 4x10x70lb

Feel like I have a mild cold, since the allergic reaction.

Fever, damn it. And it seem like the hard ware removal will keep me quiet for 3 months

One more day off. Stuffy and coughing. I need to sound good for surgery.

Used a different box, it was a bit higher

Plank 4x45sec/Knee raises with leg extension 4x10

Day 3, cycle 7

No cardio, as I can’t take any pain meds, I am very uncomfortable.

The plate keep biting, and now I have a deep burning and cutting sensation. 3 more days and it is coming out.

Day 4, cycle 7

Did nothing all day, my leg feel better.

2 days and then surgery
Don’t know if I will do a light work out monday or just rest. I may try to see my chiro just to be in good shape.

24 hrs to surgery.
This morning the damn plate bit me very hard while I was pouring my coffee. I dropped my french press from the pain and surprise. At least it did not break.

It is such a strange feeling. Sting, bit, burn, cut, pressure. I hope that it will help. I can feel my left side slacking off in my work out or the right side take over.

I can put weight on it but crutches to help.
