Hey @T3hPwnisher I think I’m going to give FFF a go (although apex predator for famine weeks and normal feast for feast), I was trying to find the sessions in your log but couldn’t. How long did the average session take and how long did the 300 pushups/squats take (also how did you divide them up)? Just trying to get an idea before I jump in. I’ll probably be doing the 5-6 day a week because honestly, I’m enjoying training again after following lots of Jamie Lewis advice.

Hey man, here’s the full playlist

FAMINE

FEAST

I didn’t really have a set approach for the push ups and squats. Whole lot of different approaches for them. These days, I have a pretty simple approach to get in 50 on my weekend mornings: A set of 15 squats-10 push ups, 15-10-20-30. Another is Dan Jon’s 2-3-5-10 repeat approach. That gets you 20 each cycle. There’s also Tabatas, where you squat on the 20s and push up on the 10s. I had some days where I’d just do the 300 squats in a single go. One time, I did that while I waited on my air fryer, haha.

This is getting a bit in the weeds, but after my initial Famine run, I took to making it more in a Giant Set format vs running all the sets in order. It sped it up a little more.

Thanks! I forgot they were on Youtube

Thanks! I’ll play around and see what works for me!

I could see doing that. I was thinking having the main strength work be done by itself and then giant set everything else.

Thanks for the guidance! I’m excited to give it a run

  • Girlfriend hit a 225lb 13in deadlift first time doing it

300 pushups
150 squats

Notes:

  • Calling off strongman Saturday tomorrow so my side can heal up. I know I can’t just go and do light stuff so better to not go at all
  • Going to soak in hot water tonight and so some mobility work to see if that helps

This is exactly the movement that hurts. What will I do to rehab and prevent it again? Bend/twist more that’s something I haven’t been doing

@T3hPwnisher Thanks! I will say Jamie Lewis’s stuff is really easy to thrive on because it has some much freedom and fun built into it!

Spent all day yesterday running errands, pressure washing, and just being a useful human for my family. It was all light movement for my back. It feels like 80% today so I’m going to do mobility, some light core work, and daily work to get back to heavy lifting tomorrow. For time line reasons, it’ll be day 1 of 5-6 per week feast, 2 weeks of it, and then famine.

The push ups and squats have been done throughout the day in 2 ladders of 10-20-30-40-50

150 done for today. Will get the reason done throughout the day will doing house work for this week.

Feast W1D1

Time: 75mins

Light rolling
4 rounds 30 pushups/squats

Anderson Squat: 245x2x2, 225x2x2 (move safeties up 1 hole), 225x6x2
Wide stance GM: 135x3x6
Pullups: 10,11,10,9,10
Calf raises: 135x4x50
GHD: 25x5x10
HLR: 2 rounds then it was hurting my QL

Notes:

  • I’ve seen @T3hPwnisher wear his soft belt while warming up with the movements so I copied it. Great idea that was probably what allowed me to lift with no back issues. Also Pwn that was the most ā€œholy fuckā€ session since building the monolith
  • Anderson squats had to go 1 higher because the 1st 4 sets were just too low
  • I need to up my calories. That is all (maybe I need a STACK of cookies
  • BW work done for the day

Speaking of calories. I used 2 jars of this,

10lbs of chicken quarters, 2 cups of rice, 1 container of chicken stock, 1 can of tomatoes, Greek yogurt, and seasonings to make this

I was on the fence about posting it but it is one of the most amazing things I’ve ate. It’s probably some crime against cultures but hey it’s got a good amount of protein

I must copy the freshy fresh.

Ya know, I ran famine a bunch of times, and only ran feast once. I’m thinking I realized the same thing, haha. It was intense.

Once I read that the dude experienced brain damage during COVID, things started making sense. I remember commenting on his training log before and thinking that not all the synapses are firing. I’m on ā€œdo not engageā€ with him at this point. There’s nothing to win in a conversation with him, and the hero worship makes it that you’re not even talking to HIM: you’re talking to a meme. When he started co-opting the same term of endearment for his wife that I use for my own, I got SUPER sketched out, haha.

Were there any long term effects from any of them?

Did you have any emotional regulation issues on any of them (I’ve heard it’s more like male PMS versus true rage)?

AAS- What did you run? What where the actual tangible effects?

Have you used peptides or Sarms to come back from injury? I’ve heard a lot of about this

Yeah I could see that. I’m excited to see how it pans out

That makes a lot of sense. Like you just showed me the man pulling the levers. I gave up too after the ā€œyeah builder bars are greatā€ thing yesterday

I’d do the same at that point lol

It’s good to see more people getting into training but much like the Dan John guy, it’s crazy to see the ego on people who haven’t anything warranting the position of authority they take
