  • I was pretty mad heading into this session because my dog busted my lip and gum on accident. Apparently lifting mad makes for all my lifts to feel like shit. Everything felt off and I was pissed about it

  • Counting is hard as hell when doing prowler rounds

Notes

  • Didn’t push the final squat set bc something felt weird in my knee
  • On the brighter side, this sets me up for success on next weeks AMRAP squat bc it wasn’t pushed hard

1hr 10 minutes

Notes:

  • Rushed my warms ups because meet someone and let the dogs play (all my lifts felt 10x better though)
  • Emom dips allowed me to get them all done without assistance
  • Fixed something in squat form (would hit parallel and push my knees further out) and all of my sets felt 100x times stronger and faster
  • Moving squat form to parallel or just below without doing what was mentioned before
  • Listened to ridin dirty by UGK for the first time. One of my favorite albums (One day and Hi life are amazing songs)

As many rounds as possible in 30 minutes with 20lb weight vest:

0.5 mile assault bike (did 2 rounds of 1 mile and dropped it down)
3 chins
5 push ups

8 rounds total

Notes

  • Little change of pace for conditioning
  • Not super hard but that assault bike had my legs burning
  • looking a little leaner over all
  • planning for 2 prowler sessions later this week

  • My lats felt like they were going to explode on the kroc rows
  • Making tonight my burger night (3 patty green chile from atomic burger) because i forgot to take out my meatloaf in time
  • Deadlifts felt slow after doing the t bar rows before them
  • Lifted in a baseball shirt and felt utterly jacked
  • Been averaging 11,000 steps a day

I legitimately think my stomach has a problem with cheese. Made a quiche with feta cheese to get my eggs in and i’ve been feeling like garbage (bloated and sick to my stomach)

Wouldn’t be too shocking to discover some sort of diary intolerance. Lotta that going around.

  • Doing a press-pull up-squat-pull up approach (puts me at roughly 100 pull ups minimum)
  • EMOM dips have been a savior (9 rounds of 6, 6 rounds of 5, 20 dips before emom)

Notes:

  • Skipping the prowler has made me not hungry. need to start that back up again
  • Lackluster curl performance but I’d rather that over lackluster main lifts
  • Thinking about adding a small session in the morning to hit random stuff that gets ignored during the main stuff (abs, neck, forearms, etc.)
  • 20lbs of pork waiting for tomorrow to go on the smoker

Lots of upper back and calisthenics today. didn’t keep track (easy though. shoulder was feeling weird didn’t want to push anything)

felt like a sissy writing is out and decided to get 30 reps ASAP with 95lbs (clean and press)

  • Neck started to cramp after squats and almost through up after finishing the set
  • Trap bar with bands for shrugs is awesome
  • Lots of laxity in shoulder today

  • Apparently I’m weak and unconditioned so fuck what everyone says is optimal. I’m going ball busting work and eating big from here on out
  • Became a session that tested me mentally halfway through
  • Halloween party tonight so high protein throughout the day to compensate for the carbs
