I spent way too much time drilling hang power cleans to get my hips into it like @Koestrizer said too
Bench felt good. Going to straight bar from cambered bar is sooo easy
almost blacked out on front squats. I can’t lie the pin squat aspect makes this lift hard
Physique is slowly improving. Not eating like an asshole and not drinking for the past 2 weekends has made all the difference
I was reading the sobriety thread on the Wendler forum and I saw something about "Now I force myself to train regardless of how I feel. Not as a punishment but as a “hey if you got super fucked up, you’re ass is going to pay for it”. I like that
I did have some beers last night so for a day after physique picture this is solid. We went to a few breweries and I tried a selection of stouts (pecan praline, tiramisu, deluxe chocolate, and one with bananas and chocolate) and a creamsicle sour

Its the one linked through his website. It’s uh kinda something. I love Wendler as much as the next guy but some of the posts on there are a little too glazing of him for my taste. Overall, it’s kinda what you expect for a forum related to Wendler: lots of great info, cool experiments, and lots of him telling people to lower their training max
Yesterday my hip and shoulder were so inflamed but I slept like a baby. Most have been something about being at my moms doing Christmas decorations all weekend
I might have undershoot 335 on the SLDL. It was supposed to be RPE 9 (so 10 lbs in the tank) and I feel like I could have hit roughly 345-355 easily. Oh well I’ll send it next 2 weeks from now
My hip has turned the corner and I’m not waking up in pain but I’m still hesitant to run on it. I’m just going to keep spamming the mytrl routine and foam rolling my IT band/side of the glute
I’m curious to see how the lower volume works out on this program
Hip hinging in lifters really helps my hinge mechanics. I should try them next time I deadlift
Problem is I’m actually a blue belt haha. I’ve been looking at getting back into grappling but it’s just way too expensive. I do like the idea of just popping into a comp or an open mat though
Probably in the gym. I have more interest in doing a powerlifting comp than a oly comp but it’s still minimal. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve seen any oly comps advertised

If I do that comp, I’m thinking about doing the farmers and SB/sled as density rounds on conditioning days. Then use log as a main lift, sandstone over bar as the deadlift density, then tack on the SB hold somewhere on the upperbody day

DB Bench: on the 90x3, the bench wiggled and I lost a dumbbell so I said fuck it lets do an AMRAP with the 90s and got 5. Slightly off program but oh well
DL’s felt good. I watch the 5 step deadlift set up and a bromely video. I think I just need less knees forward and more knees right at elbows to keep a good position to use my glutes
I need to get a carpet or something for cossack squats. My feet are sliding on the horse stall mats
My buddy wants to do that comp I posted so time to start implementing stuff next 6 week cycle
@SepCalla I got through the prologue of Hyperion today and I am hooked. I’ve been listening to more of it and there’s a great chance I’m going to binge it. This is right up my alley
The dec 20 thing is still up in the air. I need to test out my hip soon but if it still works, I’ll just do as @T3hPwnisher says and use some brute force and ignorance

There’s another local strongman comp on may 9th that I toyed with doing because fuck it but I hate the promoter
I’m also going to do maggotfest (rugby) with my GF in May 16. Sounds like I need to get my ass to practice
Lastly, we are going on a cruise the week after maggotfest so there’s a deload
Squatting super deep is becoming less iffy but running was flaring it up but that was when it was being achy 24/7 and I couldn’t extend my hips at all. I’m back doing being able to extend my hips and it doesn’t hurt all the time
