Missed today bc I was trying to find a stray dogs home for a hour. Would rather miss my lifting than leave a dog in the cold. Moving to spread missed lifts out over week

Notes:

  • Grabbed myself by the balls and got my main lifts done
  • I am feeling really strong on all my lifts for some reason
  • Been cleaning the first rep of the front squat sets. Pretty fun
  • I’ve decided that I’ll be hitting singles on bench and squat. Deadlifts have a history of frying me especially when doing a lot of other stuff (i realize i’m doing mat pulls but I’d imagine same concept applies)

  • Busy day felt it in the lifting. Took longer rests to compensate
  • Pause Squats felt rocky to start off but felt really good at working weight. Brachialis cramping again so hands on camber

  • C25K didn’t work out today because Bat dog was being an absolute nightmare on the leash. Wouldn’t stop trying to play with older pup and couldn’t focus. Love her to death but sometimes she doesn’t listen. Physical corrections don’t work
  • Made brisket and cornbread for tomorrow. Will post meat pics tomorrow. By extension song of the day ended up being Kitchen by Gucci Mane

Calling off lifting today. Super tired and feel beat up. Historically this means I’m getting sick and last time I trained feeling like this I got injured. Playing it safe and getting after it tomorrow

Notes:

  • Feeling 10x better than yesterday and dog’s behavior was better on leash
  • Thinking yesterday was the come down from the stress and intensity of being with family for 3 days straight. Also, heaters dry my sinuses out like no other and that heater was constantly on at my moms

  • I feel like I’m having piss poor performance. My strength levels are no where near what I want and I feel super fat. Probably just in a rut but I feel like my lifts haven’t gone anywhere. Like I can squat 225 for more reps and it’s not as draining as it use to be, so I guess that’s progress but it’s a shitty squat. Form is really good though and has only gotten better in the past couple months
  • All my pressing feels super solid though
  • To the above, if anyone wants to give some advice I’m all ears

  • Hitting paused bench and mat pulls later. Going to finish that session with my accessories Ive been missing
  • Saw God on that set of front squat. I either need looser lats or a bigger upper chest/delts
  • Also been using stationary bike in between bench sets. Pretty good way to speed up the session
