Almost lost the 3rd set at 130 behind and then couldn’t put it up. Left arm just was done then and I couldn’t push the 4th either. Elbows are barking a bit, may need to back off on the cleans.

Bike 5 min
Squats barx10, 135x5, (knee sleeves), 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 245x5, 265x5 (pr +5#)
GMs 155x10x3 sets
My right VMO has been having shooting pains randomly while walking the last two days for no discernable reason. So I changed things up a bit tonight and instead of going for singles I worked up to a PR at 5-rep squats. Didn’t intend to hit a PR but after I put the knee sleeves on, things felt a little better. But the damn knee still hurts walking…
George, my VMO kills me off and on with squats. Feels like the muscle is coming off the bone. I been doing lunges and front squats trying to stretch the damn thing out. If you find something that helps let me know. Great squating PR.
snapper - they probably were just parallel. I judge depth on the way my knees feel and the sleeves messed that up and I was probably being careful afraid I’d get one of those pains somewhere along the way.
steve - it’s the strangest thing, my VMO only stabs me while walking so far. The squats were only mildly irritating to it.
farmerbrett - it was probably light, I haven’t pushed the 5 rep range around these weights for a year. Thanks for the comment on the lower back arch - now I just need to be able to keep it while dead lifting
My VMO randomly hurts (along with my IT band and patellar tendon). I know that it might not be affordable, but any soft tissue work could really help. When I was in CA, I got a massage by a student at a local massage school for just $25! Granted, it wasn’t as awesome as ART, but if there is anything like this in your area I’d highly recommend it…just googled and found this:
