Dogpile 2010

I thought that looked good. Hell, I’d take it for myself.

Below good on depth. Nice work.

thanks guys - it is hard to tell in that light, wearing black-on-black

the DOORS rock!

You definitely dipped that one into the hole. Nice work! Three whites, I say.

Looking very good.

Even the depth nazi passes you on that one. But you popped out of the bottom so quick, I had to watch it a few times to make sure. And only one more year to go until things really get good.

Thanks all - and yes I’m really happy that the depth police passed me on that squat!

T-T-T-T-T-That’s all folks!

I’m shooting for the 195 to be my opener in December. I’ll have to try it sometime without all the extra work up front.

That was a solid lift. I also like the push-pull action. Great job.

Thanks Jack - I had a bit of trouble on the lift off that made it feel harder than it looked. I really like the superset of bench with row but it does tend to make you a bit tired by the heavier sets.

Your press looked good. You’ll get a liftoff at the meet, which will save you some energy. Are you training some with a pause on the bottom? The head judge at the meet I went to last weekend required the longest ass pause on the chest. Even my coach said it was ridiculous.

Right - I need to restart training the pause. somehow that slipped away from me.

3.1 mile (45 minutes) walk in the brisk autumn air. just waiting for the snow to hit monday.

You’ve come a long way. I think eventually the way you’re going with the PL you’re gonna want/need some lifting partners to help, eg, lift off. Any gyms near you? And you can send some of that cold air this way, was 82 today doing the mail.

Thanks Harry - There are places in Denver but they are all 30 - 90 minutes away. I may look into something next summer when I don’t have to rush around after work to pick up my son. Then I could probably just stay down in Denver to do a bench session at a gym.

Fall colors out my western window. The continental divide in the far background is covered in snow.

We had our monthly wine tasting/dinner part last night. 12 bottles of wine between 11 people and a 5 course meal. I spent the night in the hostâ??s guest bedroom. Planned ahead for it because I didnâ??t want to drive 45 minutes late at might and risk a DUI. Not feeling too bad today but deads were a bit flat so I called it good at 385. I think Iâ??ll plan on doing a heavy dead session every other week and keep the lighter week more like today.

Later: 2 mile walk, 30 minutes

It is a gorgeous time of year in our parts.

Your numbers look pretty good considering you did your share of imbibing last night.

Yeah, it’s slim pickings as far as training around here. Gotta drive down the hill. Wish I lived closer to RMLC.

that wine ratio looked about right.

picture is very pretty soldog. Fall is beautiful around my parts too - but it announces skanky winter, and that I can never forget. nor forgive. get all painted up and prettied up only to freeze your balls.

and nice squat - good depth and speed. Of course if Snapper approved you didn’t need my saying

love ya Snaps xx

Feeling pretty good today in spite of a night of broken sleep and further issues with my delinquent son who continues to push the parole bounds. I think I may be finally realizing deep down that his fuck-ups are his and he gets to deal with the majority of the consequences. Although as a single father, I have to deal with enough of the fallout too.
