I think doing 6 reps with a weight not far off of what you’re supposed to only be able to do 3 reps (figuring it to be 90% of actual max) with is pretty darn good. And crazy-good depth.
Nice work, SD, great depth on every one.
Great reps, and great tuneage. A full-of-win video!
Great work. Depth is really good.
Do you favor one leg? The right knee seems to travel more. Not a criticism, just an observation.
snow is illegal in June. Montreal was full of F1 debauchery last weekend.
And your squats are lookin good. very jealous.
Damn fine squats, George.

Thanks snapper - it’s good to have the moisture but I really could do with sunshine every other day or so. Looks like it’s gonna be nice for a bit now…

Thanks Tony, it is good and I had more in me. The depth is what I’ve been shooting for these past few months.

Thanks skip - my right leg is the one that was killed by the blown disk I had 15-16 years ago and it still shows residual weakness when I don’t focus on it specifically.

the snow was gone in a couple of hours and this time of year any moisture is welcome in the mountains, i’d just like to have sunshine when I have the opportunity to ride.
and thanks…
George, nice job on the those squats! You’ve made so much progress on these with your form.

Just committed to go on a mountain biking Hut trip July 9,10 & 11. Probably not the brightest idea the weekend before a meet but what the hey? The trail in is 6 miles and 2000 feet of elevation but it all down hill on the way out! This is the Hut where we will stay: http://www.huts.org/hut_details/polar_hut_details.html

Yeah, but it was on the FOURTH REP. I’d take that. My knee does that much sooner with (relatively less weight) so I know when props are due.
When I saw the work ‘hut’ I thought you’d be staying in a tent of some kind. After going to the web site, I want to live in a hut. I bet you’ll have a great time.
that hike sounds like fun and the “hut” is gorgeous! can’t wait for my vacay to do some hiking of my own.
6/19/10
Bike trainer 5 min,
Deadlies 135x5, 170x5, 205x5
bbb 185x5 x5sets
I don’t know why it’s called a “hut”, maybe to indicate that it has no plumbing or electricity. It does look like a nice house stuck out in the middle of nowhere. We’ll be mountain biking up and around with a 4-wheel drive truck as a shag vehicle and rest opportunity should anyone need it. I’ll take my camera and GPS - should be a fun trip to write-up!

A nice ride today. I waited until the afternoon clouds built up a little and cooled it off, almost was too cool on the down hill parts. Didn’t think I would go this long today but halfway through I turned right and went way down which of course meant I had to go way back up…

Took the kids to the local renaissance festival yesterday, that means beer and sun and spending too much money. One more deload session, then I gotta decide how to train the last couple of weeks leading up to the meet. I’m thinking Iâ??ll just start the next 531 cycle and add triples at my opener, may not rep out the second week.
Did you at least get a turkey leg at the Ren Faire?
