Dogpile 2010

Thanks skip & Tony - I may have had 3 wheels tonight had I the balls to just go for it but no way after that 295. I’ll hope for it as my 3rd attempt in July.[/quote]

I was going to say that the way 295 came up it looked like you had 20 more pounds in you.

Or, you just may blow past it by then. Still a little ways off. Nice squatting.

Agreed. That 295 looked easy actually. I take it your meet is a couple cycles away, plus add in the impact of better recovery from a meet week taper and lower volume leading up to it.

Keep up the hard work.

I’m always impressed by the depths you hit with those squats dog - you blow all the guys from my gym outta the water. And you fall into that hole with such ease. I’ve said it before you make em look purty.

Thanks for the props everybody!

Powers - I’m in the M1b (45-49) class for this year and I’ll be competing in the 100kg (220 lb) group. Can’t be bothered right now to lose what gut I have to reach 198.

Rugger - good to hear from ya. I saw you had a good meet recently didn’t I?

5/21/10
Bench Training max = 175#
w/u Bike 5 min, shldr rehab
Barx10, 75x5, 95x5
Working: 115x5, 135x5, 150x15 rep PR +6 (over 150x9 on 4/2/2010)

Assistance:
A1 BBB 125x10x4sets, 7, 3
A2 DB BO Row 100x10x5 sets

Getting closer 5 sets of 10 on the BBB. Didn’t get an estimated max PR today but I think I can probably set my opener high than the 176 lbs I did in December.

Looking really good overal George. When you get to 198 we’ll do a meet and see how much damage we can do in the same weight class.

Thanks Joe - but, damn, you are beating me by a country mile in every single lift. I might at best be a distant second.

Damn, dog. You picked up 6 reps in a month and a half!? That is awesome!

Great job!

Whatever rebound is, where can I buy some?

sure - just layoff training for 2-3 months and then work hard to come back and you will “rebound” to your former strength levels…

You will crush me on squats, seriously. We’ll see about the others.

Rebound, schmeebound. Great work! You really do seem to have found your groove.

Just watched your squat vids. Those come up fast, I think, for singles. Great job!

Can’t wait to watch you at Raw Nats.

Thanks all

Joe - we may be close on squats but damn you just did 255x2 and then a 270x1 on your last cycle for bench …

Skip - you bet rebound, I’ve think I’ve just recovered to where I was last December. But, I also know I’m in a much better place psychologically and physically now than I’ve been in years. So who knows where I can take this…

Snapper - think you can watch and video at the same time? It would be great to have you there for support and to keep my head in the game.

Real strong all the way round. Making good progress headin up to a meet. Think you’ll make some good lifts.

Catching up!

Good Work!
Good to see you’re making progress with all that’s going on…
