Could not stay at work the rest of the afternoon so I came home and did the above. Salvaged something for the day with the bench PR over last June when I did 7 reps on the first week of my 2nd cycle. Maybe I’ll get a chance to train in Maryland this weekend.
Damn! Now THAT is a PR! Great work!
First, my prayers for your father and have a safe trip.
Second, Dude! Pr’s are suppose to be a little here, a little there. +7? Damn.
I hope your father’s passing is easy. Glad you get to see him before he goes.
thank you gentlemen…
last I heard he was peaceful and sleeping a lot more than he has been this past year. They still hope to send him home tomorrow with home hospice care. It’s what he has wanted every time in the hospital, “just send me home and not to the nursing home.”
Flew back east to Boonsboro yesterday to visit my father who was coming home from the hospital for home hospice care during his final days. He got home today just after noon and we had a good couple of hours to talk.
At 3:15 pm he took his last few breaths and passed peacefully at home with my mother on one side and me on the other. Per his wishes, he will be cremated and placed in the family plot without services. Thanks for the thoughts everybody.
George, I am thankful that you got some time with him and that his passing was peaceful. Sometimes the right words aren’t there. So…God bless you and your family.
Sorry to hear about your loss George.
Sorry to hear about the rough time Soldog. Happy to hear about those PR’s however. Keep focused on what’s important and I’m sending you good vibes to get that house sold

My condolences and prayers to you and yours.
So glad his passing was peaceful and with family. In my prayers.
George, I’m so glad you got to spend some time with your dad before he passed. My sincerest condolences.
Sorry…
Thanks all. It was good to be able to visit with him however briefly and to be there with my mother at the very end and for a couple of days after. All is well.
expect there was a friggin’ wild fire a couple of miles across the road from our place that I found out about just before boarding the plane in DC! it’s apparently getting controlled now. Hope snapper is alright
what did you find out about the fire? I hope everything’s okay
Looks like the fire is controlled now and the winds have died out too.

My back is just starting to feel better after 2 plane rides and days on an uncomfortable bed, so I choose to do the minimum on my first night back after an unplanned, stressful week off. I’m taking this week completely off work trying to catch up on sleep and to let my mental state settle out. Not doing too bad in that regard, but it does sneak up on you at random times. Also had our first mental health court appointment today and signed all the papers to get my son in the program. If he can just keep up the behavior he’s been displaying these past couple of months since we’ve been seeing the psychiatrist, this program will be a walk in the park.
