I haven’t heard of many people hooking deads. That sounds really painful. They did look good though. Don’t let Math get all cocky on you cause of 1 race.
I hook my deads, but my deads are really just high pulls without the pop at the top, and I’m dealing with a lot less weight than almost every body else.

some guys do hook their deads. jason pegg was hooking them a while ago, but I don’t know if he still does.
I tried hooking deads once, and I thought I was gonna tear my thumb loose.
Looking strong George. I’ve only tried a hook grip once and it wasn’t comfortable at all. I agree with Jack that you need to find another place to race to.

Don’t do it! Golf just ruins your training. I, myself, secretly had my clubs regripped a few day ago, and I have been driving by golf courses–that aren’t even on the way home.
When I see a golf course – all that open green space – I want to dig out my hammer. They even have targets.
Went golfing and only did 9 holes. Lost to my son by 5 strokes - lol.
My back is not used to the twisting…

No PR in millies today. Previous was 105x15. Made slow progress on pull-ups. Couldn’t quite get 4 reps on the 4th set. Slept well last night after way too much wine and consequently felt dead most of the day (from the wine, not the sleep).

I didn’t introduce myself at the December meet because I didn’t know you then. I didn’t start logging on PW until February.

That’s right, I hadn’t seen you around before then. Did you meet pmpm at that meet or at the one in March?
I think I will target that meet. I was thinking there was one in June but that’s the Raw Nationals and I’ll just watch that one if anything. Last year there was one in August out west on I-70 that looked like a smaller meet maybe more appropriate for me.
