Dogpile 2010

Good squatting George, it comes back pretty fast doesn’t it?

Good depth on those squats. And the GM aspect only showed up on a couple reps. Nice solid work.

Damn those were deep. Didn’t see much of the GM stuff, but I’m sure it feels that way coming out of the hole on the later reps.

You’ll be shooting past your old levels in no time with work like that. You didn’t slow down at all.

My knee cave is way worse than your knee cave! I should really video myself from the front like that…

Nice work, SD. Good to see the excellent depth.

Thanks for the props everybody!

My legs are really feeling it today…

Looks really good dog.

Hitting depth and knees are tracking pretty good. Keep pushing them out all the time.
You start look up, see if you can keep looking up at the bottom. Might keep you from doing the GM thing as you fatigue.

4/2/10
Bench Training max = 165#
w/u Bike 5 min, shldr rehab
Barx10, 65x5, 85x5, 105x5
Working: 125x5, 145x3, 160x10 PR +2 reps (est max +3lbs)
Assistance 105x10x5 sets (up 10 lbs)
DB BO Row 85x10x5 sets (up 10 lbs)

Well I wasn’t expecting any PRs quite so soon after starting back up seriously. I had to go back to October for the estimated max PR of 185x4 (210 estimated max) and back to July for the prior rep max of 160x8. This was an especially good day after hosting a wine tasting last night and staying up too late and, of course, drinking too much wine.

Nice bench work, SD, great PR.

Really great work, Soldog. Looks like it is all coming back…and more!

Outstanding.

Thanks all!

I didn’t even know it was a PR until after I finished. Felt real good though!

Nice job, mate!

Looks like the lifting is coming back quickly! PRs are so motivating.

so did you PR on the white whine, or the red? I find that a merlot or pinot noir goes best with benching, but I prefer a nice cab for deadlifts. and yes, i can only drink red wine. white wine upsets my little tummy for some reason…probably because its not Rye

Both - we opened 11 different bottles that evening.

Nice job on the wine, er, I mean bench PR, Dog!

11 bottles! damn. Even for a Frenchie that’s impressive.

I’m still drinkin’ the leftovers ;-}

I followed in the footsteps of the pale one and tried the hook grip today. It sucks. In fact in the video I reset because I unconsciously changed my grip from the hook to a regular grip and only realized it after I started pulling. Stopped at 3 reps instead of repping out on the money set to actually do the BBB sets today and give my back some time to adjust to pulling conventional. It’s why I switched to sumo in the first place but I don’t want to only do sumo style. Weight has popped up almost 10 lbs in the last few weeks. Gotta start watching what I eat (and drink) and start biking again.
