Dogpile 2010

Thanks kimba, jack and Null

3/27/10 Conventional Deadlift Training Max= 315#
Deads 135x10, 185x5x2 sets
Work: 205x5, 240x5, 270x10
BBB 185x10x3 sets

Forearms got so pumped I can barely type and my grip was giving out on the final set of 185. Deads all felt good and I could have done more than the 10 at 270.

That is some great pullin’ SD! Nice work.

solid work George!

29 March 2010 Shldr Rehab warm-up
MP Training max = 110#
45x10, 55x5, 65x5
Work: 75x5, 85x5, 95x13
BBB 65x10x3 sets
Dead hang Pull-ups 4/4/3

I looked back and the first time I got 13 reps at 95# was week 2 of my 2nd month on 5-3-1 in mid-June 2009. How quickly we regress. I’m got a big pump in my tris today. I seem to be getting pumped like never before, what’s up with that?

Had the first showing on the house today after being on the market for a week. The weather probably kept people away last week.

Wish you luck with that, does seem that you are (overall) making some great progress.

Nice Pulling good luck with the house sale.

Best of luck with the house selling! Spring is the prime house buying season, or so I understand.

getting pumped is good. weights before dates, as we used to say.

Well, what are supposed to say now?? Weights before doc dates.

maybe there is some real estate agent action to be had. i heard a poll on the bob and tom show that RE agents were the profession most likely to cheat on their spouses.

wish i was a RE agent…

3/31/2010 w=207
Bike 5 minutes warm up
Training max = 240
Squat Barx10, 95x5, 135x5, 145x3
Work sets: 160x5, 180x5, 205x10
BBB 135x10x3 sets
Rack pulls (top of kneecap)
135x10, 225x10, 315x1, 405x1

Took this training max lower than my initial training max for my start of 5-3-1, and the way that money set felt â?? that’s probably a good thing. Must work on form! (duh!)

Thanks for the well wishes everybody, I really hope it sells quickly because with the maintenance I have to pay, it’s gonna be a stretch to keep up with all the mortgage payments for long.

Nice work, SD, looks like you are adding a lot of volume back in.

I’m thinking 'Weights before “honey-do’s” ’

sell it quick and get that chapter closed. the next chapter awaits

AMEN brother! and I’m not particularly religious

that extra volume has brought a visit from the DOMS fairy, it’s gonna be a bit before I am truly back in the game doing my 5 sets of BBB plus another assistance move

I’m back on the 5/3/1 BBB workout as well. The squat and deadlift days just about kill me. I usually can’t do anything after the 5 sets x 10 reps. I crawl up the stairs and lie on the livingroom floor for a bit. I’m amazed you were able to do heavy rack pulls after the squats. Great work.

those squats killed my quads but didn’t touch my posterior chain and I stopped at 3 sets, maybe next week I’ll hit 5 sets.

They probably hit everybody a little different. I get really sore along the IT Band. Especially near the hips.

Keep pushing those BBB sets towards 5. The last two sets are usually grinders.
Nice work.

Back before my 3 month hiatus I was hitting all 5 sets, just gotta get my gumption back.
