Hey I’ve had three spinal cord stimulators and an intrathecal medicine pump using morphine at 3mg/ml in a 20ml tank .
They tried it all I assure you and the only real relief ever came from a cannabis concentrate. RSO.
I cannot lift AFTER smoking weed. I use it for insomnia and PTSD. I roll one up before a training session and it once I am done I spark it up; amazing feeling!
What I would say though is that inhaling anything, even if not carcinogenic, is bad for your respiratory system. So balance the two or use edibles and tinctures which have no negative physical impact.
I live in a state where it’s recreationally legal but I have a medical license due to my PTSD; I save money not paying tax.
Sane thing happened to me after inguinal hernia surgery. I felt so nauseated after waking up from the anesthesia, they gave me antiemetics but it did shit.
In the car on the way home with my wife driving, I began hitting my THC vape pen. After about 5-10 minutes I asked her to stop at McDonald’s, lol. It works!
I have a 1430 total at the moment and I don’t think weed has hurt me at all.
Hard to say as I can’t go back and not smoke any but fwiw I use it sparingly. Typically end of day, in place of a bourbon or whatever, if at all. Maybe a few times per week or even month.
If anything I find it helps reduce inflammation and speeds recovery significantly. I can be incredibly inflamed, swollen with achy joints and a couple puffs later I feel like I’ve already had a sports massage and a night of sleep. Once the high wears off, the inflammation is still gone so it’s not just a drugged effect. There is definitely truth to the anti-inflammatory aspects of marijuana.
I don’t struggle with strength gains. I suppose they could technically be a fraction more efficient with cumulative benefit over time, but I track along pretty much as expected in most literature.
