“Going to the washroom before a workout can increase your lift by up to 20%”
I don’t get this one.
And I’m pretty sure not chewing your food enough does not cause enzymes to not function properly. At most, I believe it would only decrease the rate of activity due to the fact that there is not as much surface area as opposed to food that has been chewed more thoroughly.
“Never cook your protein powder. Only add protein into foods after they have been cooked and cooled a little” Obviously DNAFitness isnt aware of what Lowery has to say about cooking protein in his “Six Things You Need to Know About Protein” article.
^what? thats a new one to me…Maybe eating fat before doing physical activity might make some kind of sense. Train your body to burn fat or something. But right before sleep? Storage much?

During periods of fasting (such as sleep), your body uses the glycogen in your liver and fatty acids as fuel sources. My understanding was that people ate fat before bed in order to slow down digestion, not to “train” your body to burn fat.
I guess that person’s assumption was that because fatty acids are used as a fuel source during fasting, it is ok to take in some fats as they will be used as fuel sources.
“Eating breakfast longer than 1hr after you wake up will increase your chance of being obese by 200%.”
I think the wording is off here, but the general meaning is pretty true. Usually, the fattest of the fat don’t ever eat breakfast, which grinds their metabolisms to a halt.
