I’ve been looking at using DMSO to help prevent elbow pain. I did a quick search on the web, and on this site. The web had nothing but good things to say, whereas this site had mixed reactions.
What are the side-effects of DMSO use? Is there any risk of long-term damamge? Would you recommend using it, or staying away from it?
I have used dmso in the liquid form and the cream. Some people complain that they get bad breath. I use the liquid immediately only immediately after a shower. The cream any other time. Fantastic stuff.
Go to your library and get a couple of books on it, including the work from the University of Oregon. Originally used used as a degreaser, discovered those working with it had no joint pain. When all the studies were taken to the FDA on the health & pain relief, David Bressler(I believe) said, great, how does the FDA regulate a cleaning product. This is the reason most MD’s do not talk about it. It works, they make zero money, and yes it is studied and researched. Just no way for the Medicos to prescribe it and get into your wallet.
I have never tried it but it is supposed to give you horrid breath. This alone might be enough to deter long term use. It is supposed to be a fantastic transdermal delivery system.
