i’m quite happy with today’s performance since i only had 1400 calories and 30 grams carbs yesterday.

now i feel like i’ve been hit by a truck.

today’s workout:

back squat: 80 x 8; 115 x 6; 145 x 3; 155 x 3; 160 x 6
back squat: 80 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10
rdl: 175 x 13, 13, 13

52 mins----avg hr 128----345 cals burned

Wow that is a lot of squats! I’ve not done Romanian deadlifts. How do you like them compared to regular deadlifts?

I love RDLs. Never done them that heavy or that many, though. You are a machine!

they are one of the few things i can do at home that really nail the hammies. i actually really like rdl’s. of course not as much as conventional deads… but they serve a different purpose. i do love sticking my booty back. haha

lordy those got my heartrate sky high. they were rough. but that workout did it’s job since i’m sore as a fucker today. and i swear my legs have grown these last two weeks. i’ve obviously been a pussy on leg volume in the past.

although i do a lot of heavy unilateral stuff… they just don’t do me as dirty as high volume squats i guess.

i definitely ate a shitload of carbs pre and post workout yesterday.

today is another low carb day and being at a house with the fridge chock full of panda express is proving my absolute nemesis. :cry:

oh man. officially the sorest my legs have ever been. it hurt to roll over in the night. i BARELY made it down the stairs this morning.

i attacked em with a softball…every inch felt like a giant bruise…gotta love the pain.

now that my workout is over they’re feeling pretty loose.

workout:

bp: 55 x 5; 65 x 5; 75 x 2; 105 x 3; 110 x 3; 120 x 5 (no spotter)
bp: 70 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10
pendlay row bb: 85 x 10; 95 x 10; 100 x 10
hang clean bb: 80 x 10; 10

went with the high rep heavy hang cleans to get some conditioning in and my heart rate up a bit.

i have cramps. ugh. time for football and food and eventually some alcomahol. i’ve been so good all week.

luckily today’s my refeed day. i’m gonna at least double my cals from yesterday. i’m stoked.

good thing i bought i shitton of groceries on thursday…cuz i’m already blazed n buzzed on the couch. walking to the kitchen is hard enough with these damn sore legs.

thanks for the tips. i’ll give it a go. although i love having an excuse for vodka n vicodin.

i realized i better get some cleaning in if i want to hit that bw pc goal by the year’s end.

I find I get a much easier time with PMS and cramps if I avoid carbs. I don’t eat grains anyway (other than special occassions) but if I stick with low carb, I feel a lot better. I noticed this after getting a complete absence of menstrual symptoms when doing the V-Diet. Now I generally do a more primal diet (meat, fat, veggies - fruit on occassion but not often) and find much the same thing. Helps with cravings too.
