I’m going to Iraq in January, and when I get back I’ll be looking for a job in law enforcement.
Now theres a dilemma for ya.

On the one hand, I’ve got more than enough reason to want that edge. For me its not about competitiveness, I just want to be as strong as possible to reduce the risks.
On the other hand, If I did get caught it would jeopardize my future in law enforcement.

Now I’ve heard that the military doesn’t test for that, but even so, I don’t know where to get it or have a mentor to show me how to use it so I guess I’m shit outta luck.

All things considered, I would if I could.

A cop on roids?? You have no future in Law enforcement.

I can tell you they once busted a cop for that in my country and he was gone permanently. You cant fuckin use illegal substances and be a police officer for christ sake!

From what I hear, most departments turn there head.
Ever since Rodney King, police departments would rather have cops that are confident in their ability to detain a suspect, as opposed to cops that are scared shitless of “the biggest arms I’ve ever seen” who will then gang up on the suspect with nightsticks.

If I do end up deciding to use in the future, better a cop on steroids than an alcoholic cop (which happens to me most departments biggest problem)
just saying, there are worse habits for a cop to have.

I would imagine alot prison officers are tanked up on gear. If I was dealing with vicious inmates all day every day I would want to be in the best possible condition to look after my own ass. And if I was in charge I’d sure as hell want my boys able to look after themselves if they shit hit the fan.

You know- I’ve heard of several good lifters that are/were corrections officers or other staff. However that’s not to say all or any of them are gassed up. I’ve heard Vogelpohl and Siders are COs. Ernie Frantz used to be a guard at Stateville in Illinois. Somebody told me Garry Frank used to work at Angola State in Louisiana.

I’ve heard about the same.

I didn;t know that about Chuck or Siders. As far as I know Garry Frank created a pretty successful powerlifting team in whatever prision he worked in.

Was he the one who was coaching the inmates. I remember reading an article in the newspaper about some prison in Texas where an inmate was squatting in the 800’s on a powerlifting team and the locals freaked out about prison making criminals stronger.

When the papers say “held up at gunpoint” there referring to an actual gun, not biceps people!!!

Yes. There was a backlash after this too. A lot of prisons got rid of their gyms, with the retarded reasoning that they didn’t want to release bigger, stronger prisoners back into the population. Since it’s much better to release prisoners who’ve been bored to tears and angry as hell for years. And who have been building lots of pent up agression with no real release.

Well- lifting weights takes too much time away from smoking cigarettes, reading religious shit, playing dominoes, and raping your celly- and isn’t that God intended prison to be?
