I’m interested in any and all input regarding an ideal digestive environment. I’ve been looking into bioavailble supplements for maximum absorbtion as well as digestive enzymes for more complete digestion. I’m even considering a colon clense. Yes I cringe at the thought, but I’m beginning to suspect that a very clean and healthy digestive system may enhance over all health greatly. It could mean drastically more efficeint abosorbtion of nutrients and much less energy loss in the digestive process. These aspects could in themselves increase recovery by what I suspect to be quite a bit in some cases. Anyone have any first hand experiance with this subject?
You are correct about the digestive system. John Berardi wrote an article here about digestive enzymes. Make sure you get the coated ones or they won’t do any good. I belive that you should go as far as taking a laxative to get EVERYTHING out. Think about a car. Does the car run well if it is gummed up? Nope. Got to clean it out.
