Dieting Mid-Bulking Cycle?

I am 2 weeks into a finasol cycle and have gone a bit overboard with calories, and gained more fat than I would like. I was thinking of going 5-7 days at 1000cals, 200g protein, with T2 and Methoxy, to lose 3-4lbs of fat. I truelly hate adding fat, just the slightest bit of fat makes my face look fat, and makes me look way worse. How would this affect my previous gains from fina in the past 2 weeks (8lbs) if I took this week of dieting in the middle of a 6 week bulking cycle? Would I keep what I have gained so far? Thanks guys!

actually, i am on week 1 of my cycle of finasol and that is how i am doing it (3 weeks bulk, 1 week cut, 2 week bulk, 1 week cut). it might actually help you boost some of your gains after the cut. for instance, when u bulk up for a while say 3 weeks, your body will get up to certain weight, say u gained 10 lbs (muscle and fat), then u dieted for a week keeping calories low, u would then lose say 5 lbs. (probably all fat since your using finasol) when u go back on the bulking diet (and hopefully much cleaner eating) your bodies weight rebounds back up within a few days (3-7) depending on body type genetics, yada, yada, yada, u could end up with say 5 more lbs. of muscle so in that 5 week time frame where u would have been 10+ lbs of muscle and fat, u would be 10+ lbs of muscle, get the drift.

You can do OK on this but I would
add somewhat more carbs than what you’re
doing here (you are obviously planning
on less than 50 grams per day.)

Without androgens of course this plan
would be a disaster, but on TA I’d
expect you to be able to retain your
strength and most or all your muscle
if you improve the carb intake.

Bill, so you prefer a higher carb approach to cutting rather than the low carb approach that the fat fast diet calls for, correct? How many grams of carbs do you suggest one take in when cutting when one is “on”? Provided they still keep their calories in the range of 50-60% of maintenance range. Thanks.

To add to my question above…Specifically, Bill, what kind of percentages of fat/carbs/protein do you suggest one should use when cutting while “on”? Once again, keeping in mind calories are roughly at 50-60% that of maintenance. Thanks again.

Bill, your reply is much appreciated! I was also wondering the same as Steve, so I am bumping this up hoping for a response, just a few quick guidelines if you have the time. Cheers!

Bump for Bill

Well, no, I don’t prefer “high” carb when
dieting, since what I’d call high carbs is quite a lot of calories, but I do prefer
100-200 grams of carbs when dieting,
with the higher number being optional
for non-training days, and a reasonable
minimum for training days.

I do like John Berardi’s idea of having
low-carb meals in there in the latter part
of the day, if workouts are not too late
in the day.
